You lost all credibility when you called Trump an imbecile WRT fiscal matters. Did you forget that he has been a very successful businessman for many years? You are obviously not thinking clearly. You have a bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Is there any growth that actually resulted in increased tax revenue ? I believe we're dealing with fiscal imbecile who thinks national debt is something that can be increased indefinitely with no consequence because "it's the greatest country in the world or something something". Right now there is some growth but not nearly anywhere near where it matters for tax revenue, instead the tax cut (corporate one, my taxes hasn't gone down a single bit, effective tax rate is higher) has benefited corporations and that's about it.
I wish people would realize that this entire border wall meltdown is over 200 miles of a wall (which is supposed to be built for this $5.6B - no idea who thinks that actually is going to solve any problems (aside from the discussion whether wall is effective or not which is a separate issue). But you have to con your believers into thinking that actually something was accomplished.
With this fake national emergency, he is playing stupid games and he will win stupid prizes...
You say the argument is over a small section of wall. Obviously that isn't the reason for the argument, because it's a very small expenditure for the federal government relative to other things they spend money on. Also, the democrats were recently advocates of building more walls and only switched over after it became Trump's goal. It's clear the only reason they are standing in the way is that they care more about politics than they do about the American people.
