I was under the impression that the chassis number would match the Voodoo engine somehow. :shrug:

Maybe this is why they held the 2015s and early build '16s from last fall. Sad to see these failures. Good luck with the new engine OP.

Bro..Is this the car I help you get from my dealership in TX? if so Im sad to hear this....glad to hear its blown...you do not want them to rebuild the engine..

They won't rebuild the engine, much cheaper even for the dealership to just replace...what I think is a bummer for the owner is a 10 day loaner only while the car is out for 30+ days. My buddies 2010 M3 blew his motor (spun main rod bearing) it took 45 days to get an engine from Germany, they put him in an X5M for the whole time...$90k+ car.

Do they actually match anything on the engines to the chassis anymore? I didn't think they did.

Actually the block has the vin #etched onto it. Look on the side of the filter towards the end of the block.

How will this engine change affect the car in the long run ? Won't be a matchin numbers car.

"Matching numbers" cars have not existed for decades. It always kills me when somebody looks to sell a modern car and cites it's a "numbers matching" vehicle.

Exactly. If they are going out of their way to put the chassis number on the dash, you'd have to figure they are matching the vin to the engine or something along those lines.

Nothing as of tonight, checked COTUS an hour ago. I've spoken to a few
SVT dealerships around my area, and quite a few cars with same build date as mine are awaiting shipping, even a few "R's".
Don't have a clue as to what is going on . Hopefully I'll be getting better news this week.

Bright side is weather is just awfull up here and we're expecting snow on Monday. Something that i've never seen this late in April. Crazy weather.

Weather has been screwing up everything over there.

Mind you it was the warmest winter out west I can remember. We had 26C yesterday. It happens.
