Guess that's 4 Voodoos that failed due to oiling issues!

ncrisis did they tell you what went wrong? oil pump gears or something else?
They said that the engine was "clanking" I don't know really other than in 48hrs they had the head guy at Ford .. Saw him on the Jay Leno Video demanding the engine to come back to Ford and a new one in it's place. I got all this info when I asked why there was 25 miles on a new car. The sales guy was very forthcoming. Here is the ad https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/662149468/overview/.
http://www.bickford.net/new/Ford/2016-Ford-Mustang-Seattle+WA-302c19cc0a0e0a1725669ccfe1c1b548.htm.

They even go as far in the description to say the new engine came in.
This vehicle arrived with a motor that needed repair from the factory. Ford replaced the motor. See Sales Consultant for details. -

Funny thing was they were asking $18k ADM and I was standing there with my check book and trade and I tried to negotiate MSRP and they laughed me out of the dealership. I arrived again 2 days later sans the trade and tried to negotiate $7500 and they said $10k was as low as they would go. I left......they still to this day are asking $12k ADM and will only go to $10k

I found a $5k ADM deal ... Not that I'm completely an AHOLE but I'm building this same car as they have and plan on May 1st or 15th when I take delivery I plan to cruise it over to this dealership and telling them all to Fuck Off and keep their POS engine riddled Car..... Geez.. I sound like bitter party of 1

Sounds like an issue I had with another car (not Ford). Deal with the Ford warranty group (not the dealer) go as high up as you can go like a manger etc, not the drone that answers the phone. 1-800-392-3673 is the number I found for Ford Customer Relationship Center. The Ford warranty group will tell the dealer what to do. Be polite, tell them this is happening to several cars and seems to be a trend. Wound up talking directly to the head of the warranty group who gave me a direct phone number to call any time. Ask for a complete new engine if it's been eating itself due to low oil pressure, metal in the oil etc. End result, not only did I get a free loaner for as long as it took for a new engine to be installed, but they gave me an extended warranty and free maintenance contract for my trouble. Just passing on my experience. Good luck.

Been a member for some time but this is my first reply. I noticed a few oil drop marks in my condo parking spot from my GT350 Tech Pack. Had it looked at today at the local Ford dealer. It was quite obvious the engine oil cooler lines were leaking a small amount at the filter. Probably an "O" ring or two or a gasket. Will have it looked at next week at selling dealer. Wonder if this is a potential cause for engine failures if one doesn't notice the oil drip marks under the car. My oil level was down very slightly on the dip stick.
Glad I caught it early.
I really doubt it. With 10 quarts in the pan it's going to take a lot more than a couple drops to cause a problem.

Coming home from work today with a fully warmed up track pack with about 1500 miles on it. I was in traffic, at about 2500 RPM, and I got a low oil pressure light. I changed from the left lane to the right in an attempt to pull over, and I got a see owner's manual light followed by the car shuttering violently and dying.

I am currently awaiting Ford's roadside assistance to pick me up and bring me to the dealer. The dealer has stated that they have no availability to look at the vehicle until Mon.

I have never tracked the vehicle, and have hit 8k RPM maybe twice thus far, both after the initial 1k break in.

Engine was built by James Williams and Robert M something that I can't make out.
Did this happen with the original oil or had you changed it?

As an update, I spoke with the dealer today, and he confirmed the engine is definitely blown, although they haven't torn it down or anything, as they are awaiting on a response from Ford, as they will likely want the entire unmolested engine to test. He expects they will be sending an entire engine, and it will like be 30 days before it is complete. Even though they gave the estimate of 30 days for repair, Ford has only offered a loaner vehicle for 10 days. I didn't even take them up on this because it would be more trouble to have to get the car and then return it a week and a half later, well before my car is even done.

My build date was 11 Jan 16.

Thanks for the update.

Did you change the oil or get the dealer to change it before this happened?

It was the original oil in the car from the factory. I had intentions to change it once it arrived here, but I literally only got to drive it three times after getting it here from the dealer, so I didn't even have time to change it. Not that it should be required at 1500 miles, anyway.

It is indeed that vehicle. My experience with your dealership was very good, by the way, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Thanks again for your help in obtaining the car.

I would be surprised a hand built engine would have excessive machining scrap, and they would clean it out. But that could be a contributing factor.

Hopefully the rebuild goes quickly. Sounds like you could end up with a lemon, but that doesn't help too much because I'm sure you just want another GT350 and the time/hassle of getting the lemon through would probably be the same time as yours being fixed.

I would insist that they provide a loaner for as long as it takes to fix the car.
I mean that's the least they can do in this situation.

OP good luck with everything, hope it gets resolved in a timely manner and to your complete satisfaction.

How will this engine change affect the car in the long run ? Won't be a matchin numbers car.

Do they actually match anything on the engines to the chassis anymore? I didn't think they did.
