Coming home from work today with a fully warmed up track pack with about 1500 miles on it. I was in traffic, at about 2500 RPM, and I got a low oil pressure light. I changed from the left lane to the right in an attempt to pull over, and I got a see owner's manual light followed by the car shuttering violently and dying.

I am currently awaiting Ford's roadside assistance to pick me up and bring me to the dealer. The dealer has stated that they have no availability to look at the vehicle until Mon.

I have never tracked the vehicle, and have hit 8k RPM maybe twice thus far, both after the initial 1k break in.

Engine was built by James Williams and Robert M something that I can't make out.

Please don't make a video if your car has no oil pressure.

Don't start that engine.

A buddy from work with an Infiniti had his oil drain out due to a faulty filter and they were able to save the lower part of the motor. They replaced the top half for safety's sake under warranty.

This is 3 cars now that I know of. (2 on this site, one on *******************) Hope this isn't a trend.
Good luck to all with these issues.

Lol, I can make a video of my parked car, but I am not going to start it, and I doubt it would start anyway, since it died on its own. I expect some loud metal on metal grinding if I pushed the start button.

I certainly hope they don't save the bottom half because I don't want it. I need either a new engine or preferably a new car.

The engine shutting down on its own is pretty disconcerting. Was hoping you had a chance to catch it with just the warning light. Agreed, I wouldn't want that motor.

I like to disassemble things.
Suddenly, the guy that designed the oil pump is very busy...

So in that case , start it again but don't say it here. Good luck and keep us in the loop.
