Correct. Did I say "every gear"?Huh.
I guess when you say a lot eventually you will say some things that contradict. I would like to see the best of everything in the Voodoo engine. I bet most of us would.
I'm not saying Ford does everything perfectly or that they never try to get out of spending money to fix something that was their fault. I'm not even saying I trust Ford. What I am saying is that I don't know. I would be willing to bet there are good reasons for the way the parts are currently constructed. Hopefully it's not only cost, and hopefully most failures that end up with broken OPGs originate somewhere else.
Admit it, powdered opg's are a dumb choice no matter what kind of car it's
in.
I don't know what kind of material my f150s have and it may very well have powdered opg's. I'm not sure on the ecoboost engines. But I am more confident starting that up in the dead of a Michigan winter while it sat outside all night then I would be my gt350 which is parked in a heated central air garage. I do know the F150s 5.0 uses a different OPG but made also from powdered metal. I have no fear of starting my f150 5.0 which uses 5w20 and going outside start it up and drive off with out a worry.
But like I keep saying, the 5.2 has a lot against it when it comes to the opg's. The main reason is vibrations and the oil
