OP, great job documenting the ordeal. Sorry you endured all that and hope the car is treating you well now.

I bought an Eddie Bauer Bronco new quite a few years ago. I had so many problems with the vehicle and my local dealership, I told my new bride to shoot me if I ever thought about buying another Ford.
Here we are some 30 years later and Iā€™m going back to Ford.
I bought the Mrs a new 5.7 Hemi Charger in ā€˜07, and the engine went at around 94K miles. My mechanic warned me about this and told me to get rid of it before 90K...I didnā€™t listen.

I have a 2017 Ram Limited. Maybe I should trade it in for a Ford F-150.

Hey guys!
Ford is not taking more orders in GT350/R.
Iā€™ve been calling dealerships and they are asking $5000 over MSRP price.

I donā€™t know what to do? Iā€™ve been driving automatic transmission since I moved to US. When I learned to drive, I did it in manual transmission, but it was many years ago. Also Iā€™ve been considering a Hellcat Redeye.

So, will the GT350R worth the $5000 over MSRP?
Will the car easy to me for drive?
What would you do, take it?

Please, any advice will be appreciated.

Regards

It is so easy to drive. The shifter shifts like butter. Perhaps test drive - learn on an old five speed somewhere. Itā€™s such a gem of a car.

try casting a wider net. R are available at MSRP. Though in the scheme of things 5 grand premium to get one might be justifiable.
Also Iā€™ve been considering a Hellcat Redeye.
There are a metric ton of leftover 2019 Hellcats (not RE) available at 20-25% off. Some with the same family Tremec as the GT350.

About your splitter, are you sure it was on wrong? I can't tell from the photos.

I've had mine disconnected and reconnected 3 times already for various reasons, and it looks the same as in your first photo (small gap with visible slots).

In your second splitter photo, the angle does not show the same.

I always thought the gap was normal. I also saw someone else's with the same gap.

Can you update with a better photo of the splitter at the same angle as the first, to show the difference?
