As much as anything, you want the firewall hole plugged so water doesn’t get in there.

Where did he say intake? He was talking about an exhaust manifold.
Ok, miss read,……. That said. How about we focus on the reality and any possibility of carbon monoxide fumes.

Entering the cockpit via the firewall sound tube port. Causing any driver to lose control or fucking die, are we really that simple-minded?

Let’s think about that for just a nanosecond.

Take your best shot and make the case.

Ok. Miss read accepted..LOL. Saw your garage with 32 Coupe and 34 pickup and you did a fantastic job on both,.they look great and you built from scratch for your wife, that’s cool…but just do me one favor…plug your firewall holes, even if they don’t let in that much carbon monoxide fumes.
peace…

All it takes is a small hole in the header. Is it probable? No, not really. Is it possible? Yes, anything is possible. As I mentioned previously, water intrusion would be more likely so if anything, plug it to prevent water intrusion.

it annoys me that our gen coyote has the ugly engine cover; the prior gen coyote cover looked so much better
The S197 engine bay was the best. The S550 is a rats nest for sure

Look how much nicer that reservoir looks....

And this is my attempt to spicy it up some.

I don't think the dress up kit looks bad. Same for the football cover.

Not to mention all the other cars on the road or in traffic generating carbon monoxide too.

To the author: it’s not so easy to unscrew the tube from the firewall. There’s little space to rotate a wrench and that bolt is really long. Took a lot of patience and fingers gymnastics for me.

A ratcheting wrench might help a little. But if you have big hands and or forearms, it probably won’t. Just give it a good tug and it should slip right over the nut.

When I took mine off on the convertible, I couldn't get my big paws back there, so I had no choice but just to yank it out. Once the tube was out, I could get my hand in there barely to plug the hole.
