Not Happy with Performance Pack Traction this am

I've been to track events and have pushed the car a bit. I was probably 10mph too fast for the corner. Like I said, my last car was a heavy tank and up until this morning, I felt the GT was on light on it's feet and on rails.

And to be clear, I am not trying to be a dick with my post. I've done exactly what you described more than I care to admit. Shitty feeling for sure. It's what pushed me to start AutoX and Track Sprints.

but the fronts still had tons of tread. It's a 21 with the performance pack...... I have OEM up front

How can you sleep at night having the Trash-irellis on your car?

.the car in OEM tires off the lot had some oversteer. The rear would kick out often

power oversteer is NOT the same thing as designed-in understeer. No factory-stock S550 has oversteer, by the usual and customary definition of the term.

Yes. But at a higher speed, and not to the same degree. The Mustang is a heavy front engine car. It’s certainly possible to tune away some of the tendency to understeer. But there’s still physics. Physics is undefeated.

Now my car is setup with the Ford Performance Track Kit and 19X10 with Mich PS4S up front and 305/35/19 out back and man, you have to be really hamfisted to upset this car. When my car was stock with the PP1 it came with the Mich PS4S and my main complaint on the front end was its lack of feeling up front, not that it didn't grip.

Were you gliding into the turn? Generally speaking for a car to grip on a set you should have just lifted to unweight the car or be under braking so the load is up front and it increases the footprint of the tire

So if you did that and it happened then it’s either tire compound/tread, tire pressure assuming you normally take a set there.

Honestly if it’s something you normally have no issue with it’s probably just a mental lapse and the car wasn’t properly sorted to take the set.

But also, you goofed.

i've not noticed it but i tend to steer with the throttle a lot...
