My gauges change with my color( i assume your talking about the two gauges above the radio on PP cars)? is it different on the 19s?
Yeah I was talking about those. I was under the impression they didn't work with the my color system , guess I learn something everyday. Also the only other thing my non-PP doesn't have that I wish it did was the PP bellypan in the front. It seems like every good aftermarket chin splitter that I like requires the PP belly pan to use. Ill have to buy the bellypan from Ford as the non-pp splitter is a little less agressive then I would like.

Braking performance on base and Performance Pack cars are limited by tires, not the calipers and rotors. Bigger brakes give better thermal capacity. Stopping power comes from pad efficiency, the booster, and tires.

It just seems like wasted money to me. Not as much of a waste as a twin turbo kit, but you don't need all that stuff on the street. Now if he was planning to go to HPDE events - then a GT350 would be a better choice because he will need cooling. But for the street it's not needed. Unless he "lives in Mexico" and is planning to drive around at 190 mph everywhere, the car will stay nice and cool.
the Brakes will slow him down faster **From Mexican Speeds** since he has the power, the bigger radiator will be nice for when its hot out and you still want to visit mexico, the Torsen will help put power down, he could also swap in the Ecoboost dash gauges in and have an oem Boost gauge.

The Torsen is a nice unit and would be nice to have. This is the one and only part of the PP1 that seems useful on the street to me.

Brakes are not going to get hot in street driving. Standard GT brakes are great and the tires are the limiting factor for stopping speed, not the brakes. Unless you are stopping over and over getting the brakes hot, standard GT brakes are fine.

The radiator will not do anything unless you are going for an extended time in Mexico. A quick blast will not overheat the car. Again, you would have to nail it up to extreme speeds, stop, nail it again, stop hard again - several times before a standard GT setup will be pushed.

I like the idea of a boost gage in the dash. I don't think you need to have a PP1 to do this swap though.

Remember with 6-7k off list is fairly easy to negiotate anywhere. Your not paying full pop for the extras so get what you want. I got into my a10 base pp1 car for 34k range back in June 18. Lotta bang for the buck.

Never needed PP. Great for road course/Auto-X. Give me a base GT and 700-750hp with proper tires and set up, and it’s all good for street use.

I’d never use the components the PP pack offers to their full extent. I do like the wheels and rear spoiler though.

Always buy to your needs. If you have the cash get everything. If you do not pass on the PP1. Why, it's great and well worth the money right? Well you want a fast highway cruise toy. PP1 not needed for that. I would go with the Premium with 401A. Performance, comfort, & some nice bells and whistles. The premium leather is quite nice. Love the digital dash and other goodies as well. A perfect cruisemobile.

And i agree with NoVaGT. Head one state up and get yourself a deal on a 19' closeout.

I built a 17 GT PP1 auto conv that Ford never made. They should have. What a car!!!

I wish I had bought a PP but at the time, I didn't know I would use it. Currently building my base GT to be similar to the PP (BMR suspension etc) although it is more fun customizing your own car! Imo, the Ford leather seats are not worth it but that is just personal preference. The cloth ones in mine with the white stitching look great and are comfortable and really hold you in the turns. Happy car hunting!

Great post, right, if you're not specifically looking to save, a fully loaded PP car with MagRide, Active Exhaust, 401a, etc., is a fantastic, but in terms of "do you need" + "I'd like to spend less", a GT Premium, A10, 3.55, 401a, Active Exhaust, that's a super sweet ride too. In fact, I was just about to pull the trigger on a couple of new cars setup just like that (also had Smart and Safe, and ebony package), but stumbled into a killer deal on a mint, 4K miles, loaded PP car used.

If it was a PP car without MR, and no other options (like no 401a, no upgraded audio, etc.), I'd prefer a non-PP car with the bells and whistles, the performance differences wouldn't be significant for your use, and you'd probably appreciate the improved owner experience with the upgraded content.

Just to clear up a few thing that some others have mentioned, The my color does not work on the GT 350 gauges for the center dash, but it does work on the standard GT and ecoboost PP gauges. The ecoboost PP gauge pack is literally plug n play into a gt and has a factory vac/boost gauge. The PP gauge pack can be added to a non PP car but its a lot of work, canyon ed has done it talk to him.
