In order to use a SSQV, you'll have to change over to hard piping. You can't do it with the stock piping. You'd have to get the piping kit for $399 and then do the HKS add-on for $280.Anyone have any experience with this intercooler hard pipe kit?

I'm trying to add an HKS SSQV blowoff valve and I'm guessing the only way to add it is to swap out the intercooler piping with a set like the one above.
Thanks! Just read your review and it just made me want those pipes even more haha. What made you choose the Tial blowoff valve over the HKS? I like the HKS high pitched sound it makes and that made me want to get it.In order to use a SSQV, you'll have to change over to hard piping. You can't do it with the stock piping. If your looking at that, I'd recommend CP-e. They'd be much higher quality pipes and even cost less. I did a review of them a while back too. Below are the links to their pipes.

With certain parts, I tend to be a creature of habit. I've always used Tial because they're a high-quality product and they've never failed me.Thanks! Similar?With certain parts, I tend to be a creature of habit. I've always used Tial because they're a high-quality product and they've never failed me.
I love the sound of the HKS too, but once the spring on the Tial gets broken in (about 200 miles or so), it sounds pretty darn similar. Under heavy boost, it has a sharp release noise, but under light throttle/boost, you still get all the fluttering and associated noises like you hear on the SSQV.
If you want to go the CP-e route, PM me or whoosh before you do and one of us can get you a discount code to save some cash.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:Similar?
TiAL sounds like a open cheek fart from God. (Good thing)
HKS sounds like a Chihuahua sneezing. (Not my thing)
:lol:
Is there a link or can you provide a video or sound clip of the cpe blow off valve?With certain parts, I tend to be a creature of habit. I've always used Tial because they're a high-quality product and they've never failed me.

Very nice, thanks for posting up the shots. Looking forward to your feedback once the kit is installed.Got these today (not all peices in pic). Going to put em on this weekend
The difference is very noticeable, especially in warm climates or if you are tuned. The tiny stock intercooler is just not up to the task of properly cooling the heat produced by the EBM.I really want someone to do a comparison with intercoolers on an otherwise stock car to see if they can feel consistent power compared to the stock intercooler.
Don't really wanna mod my car but it seems like an intercooler seems like an essential mod aside from an intake and exhaust.

I would imagine you would. I got my car in December so the air was cold for my first few months of ownership and as soon as we had our first couple of hot days I noticed it didn't feel the same. Obviously it's unavoidable to a point but I can imagine your charge air temps getting pretty high sitting in LA traffic on hot days lolI really want someone to do a comparison with intercoolers on an otherwise stock car to see if they can feel consistent power compared to the stock intercooler.
