The race IC does not measurably affect the boost pressure to be really an issue but does greatly improve heat soak for the better especially over the stock IC and is better than the street IC also but if you plan to track your car a lot you may find that it can have some effect on engine temps since it does sit in front of the a/c condenser and radiator which can increase the temps of the air before it get to those items. Hopefully some of the members that track their car can chime in and give more input on that subject. Is the CV race core worth the extra cost over the street or does it cause too much of a pressure drop at stock boost levels? After looking into the NX2 it seems like an easy upgrade (compared to other turbo cars I've run) which would most likely require the extra cooling area.
I hate going down the "what if" rabbit hole lol...it usually ends up with more money spent than planned!
I know the cooling system on the HPP ecos has a little bigger radiator and possibly fans as well so that may help as well.
If you have active grill shutters on your car, they will have to be removed to install the race IC which you may need to consider.
For a DD car I would say the race is not really needed.
