Oh man just saying 4G63 out loud makes me smile. THAT was an engine. The transmission is a whole nother story, anybody else rembers john shepherd?
It's nice to see DSMers in here! I also have a 97 GSX that I am finishing up a build on right now. It is my first auto DSM so I am quite excited!

So I just recently installed my MAP IC and have only driven it for 4 days.. Took it to the track and only got 1 pass and CK engine light came on. Had an under boost code. So being that I do work at a Ford service department, I raised the vehicle and I can't find any issues anywhere. All clamps are secured and all hoses are on.
Has anyone else experienced this after an IC install? More surface for the boost to cover and pops a light on? I have double and triple checked everything and see nothing wrong
Mind you, the light never came in before the IC swap.

Are you tuned? Also are u still using the stock charge pipes? Just wondering. I forgot to plug the power back into the BOV when I did the IC and pipes and got a code

Using stock charge pipes yes. And it's tuned
I'm using the turbosmart BOV and it came with the wiring harness to make the pcm think it's still there. But that has been on for over 2 months with no issue

Hmm I guess the only sensor involved would the MAF sensor then. It could have been a preexisting issue that just showed up since you were hitting max boost at the track

i am saving for the ic upgrade just having a very hard time deciding. So many good products from great vendors. All i know is that right now my IAT's are above 120 in this az heat. I know my car has to be hating it.

I'm using the SCT X4. It was dyno tuned. Is there an issue with programmers?

Yea there have been several ppl all with SCT tunes that have had issues with overboost codes

Getting over/underboost codes with the SCT tuners is VERY common. We see a lot of posts about that both on here and the various Facebook groups. What's causing it is still open for debate per se, but I'd be lead to believe that the various boost control methods, such as throttle and WGDC PIDs, aren't being modified and manipulated correctly. As far as I've seen, Torrie with Unleashed is the only SCT tuner that isn't having this problem with his tunes and that's probably attributed to his familiarity with the SCT software and unique way that the EcoBoost platform generally needs to be tuned.

Sooooo....me again with problems....since installing the ic and charge pipe kit with the atmosphere venting bov, theres now oil everywhere. There was a bit in the begining, but now 1000 or so miles later theres quite a bit. There doesnt seem to be a leak perse but it looks like its just exploding from the bov (the best i can describe based on the splatter). Im looking to install a catch can soon on the pcv side (or both) and clean everything to see if that helps but just a heads up. I have the pipes, ic, cai and tune.
