QuickJack Question and Decision help

Where is the difference? The only thing different between the 5000TL and 5000TLX is the wider lift point spread.

It has the same lowered height (3"), has the same max lifting height (24"), baseically every spec is the same except for lift point spread.

I'm shopping quick jacks today and notice that is not accurate. overall length when flat is 70" and 76" for 5000TL and TLX respectively, and 70.75" and 76" for 7000Tl and TLX respectively. Just for confirmation, the TLX at 76" fits flat between the tires and has the appropriate jacking locations for our cars right? I'm looking at the 7000TLX to lift the Mustang, and the '23 Tahoe.

Better stick with the 5000 for the Mustang......

Better check again the TL & TLX difference the TLX has a higher lift.... TLX

The 7000TLX will work just fine. The length is the same as the 5000TLX and they literally have a picture of a Mustang on the 5000X lol

How sturdy are these once the car is on and it’s lifted to max height? Can you push hard on the car from the side and the QJ won’t budge?

That is what Quickjack tells you to do to make sure that everything is stable - so yes.

I went through the same decision process. I chose the 7000TL, with the height extenders directly from Quickjack. They matched a Costco special at the time for $1600 to my door.

I use it for my Mustang and 2020 Explorer (with the SUV height adapters). A TLX would line up a little better on the Explorer, but not as ideal on the Mustang. I raise my Mustang 10x more often, so I stuck with the TL model.

It is also super stable. I use aluminum slotted pucks on the pinch welds, and have since removed my jacking rails.

After your car is up on jack stands, some of us yank side-to-side by grabbing the roof rail to check for stability. Same thing for a Quickjack.

Correct - and anyone lifting a vehicle 12”-20” higher off the ground by placing it on a QJ or even putting it on jack stands should always check stability before attempting to put their body under it to perform any kind of rigorous work/repairs.

I check stability side to side and also front to back. I suggest that is checked as well. I even put monster US Jack under the cars with Quick Jack for piece of mind. I live in Cali makes me think what if there is an earthquake or just to be comfortable under.

Do they work with jacking rails on the car or do those just get in the way?

I use mine with jacking rails, they come with flat rubber lifting blocks and ones to use with pinch welds. I just use the flat blocks.

I had my Mustang at full lift last Weds when we had a 4.5 located about 12 miles from us and the car didnt budge. I feel much safer with Q.J then jack stands.

No Doubt QJ are very safe, I have the 5000TL. I still like to place my jack stands under because why not.

The 5000 seem to work well with the S550. The wheel addition Mod looks like a great idea.
