  1. How do you clean under the hood? Isn’t there wiring under there that can’t get wet ?

My GT500 rain tray hasn’t been installed for nearly three years and it’s seen a LOT of rain here in Florida with zero issues. In fact the motor gets more wet from me opening the hood than it does sitting parked in the rain. Yes you can pressure wash the engine bay. But as usual, the...

  3. It’s finally time GT500 KR (update: being built)

I have the Shelby by Borla exhaust and I love the tone of the resonated H pipe. Too me the switch fire setup is too loud, but you know what they say about opinions lol. For the OP, I recommend running whatever it comes with for a bit and seeing how you like it before throwing a couple hundred...
  4. Simple plug and play speaker replacement recommendations

Sound treatment is what you need. Dropping in speakers will make no noticeable improvement and will most likely make it sound worse. The issue is the OEM amp and tuning. Adding sound deadener to your doors will improve bass response quite significantly and can be done at home.

  9. Gave Ruby a Bath

Yep, Lift is an alkaline “stripper” soap. I just ordered a bottle for cleaning the wife’s van as it’s not coated and get washed maybe once a month if I’m up to it.

You can run ventilation tubes up the side of the trunk behind the trim where there’s room. Then place the fan in front of it to bring in fresh air from the trunk area.

  13. Updated MTM PF22.2 Foam Cannon

Broke down and ordered a new PF22 kit as I gave my old SunJoe setup and cannon to my parents. I washed their car for them while they were in town to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. My mom was impressed with my detailing knowledge and application so I wrote a basic how to for washing and...

  15. What's In DFB's Cabinet?

They are static discharge straps, so you don’t get that shock when stepping out of your car. Since it’s grounded this will reduce static buildup and should prevent it from attracting more dust.

  18. What's In DFB's Cabinet?

There are grounding straps you can buy for cars. Mount them to the frame and allow them to drag the ground.
  19. Adding an acrylic window to trunk floor

Looks good! There are two different types of acrylic, extruded and cast. Extruded acrylic is more prone to chips and shatters from cutting and routing. The bit you use is also very important. You want a spiral fluted up cut but.
