$1,500.00 for 1/2 the miles AND Magneride?

C'mon dude.....be serious. This isn't even a question.

For real.
Well, that was my question. Was the MagneRide worth the $1500. I'm honestly not that concerned with the year and mileage difference as unless I'm having to live under a bridge, I intend to hang on to this and gradually do upgrades as she ages and money permits.

Also, was just a bit hesitant on the 3 brands of tires on the '21 because it does beg the question was it taken care of and not abused.

You guys have sold me on the Mag, now I'm in the negotiating phase.

Thanks again for the input everyone.

I’ve got a 2019 Bullitt with magneride and I have a 2016 GT that was lowered on pedders. Currently have the eibach pro kit on the bullitt. Can’t even tell the difference between the different modes. I thought my 16 with pedders handled better too.

if you plan on modding go without magneride. If leaving stock go magneride. However someone else pointed out the mismatched tires. That would be a huge red flag for me and I’d pass. Doesn’t seem like they took care of the car very well. Who knows what else was neglected

Is the ‘21 a former rental car? That could explain the mismatched tires. While I was shopping I ran across that all the time.

PS-I have a ‘21 premium, PP with MR on Pirelli PZero Corsa rubber….you can’t wipe the smile off my face when I drive the car.

Steeda's exclusive Pro Action Active Shocks & Struts design and the Ford MagneRide System are both suspension systems designed to provide improved handling and ride quality for vehicles.

They are similar as they both provide active dampening technology to changing road conditions.

  1. Steeda's Pro-Active Shocks & Struts use advanced technology to adjust the suspension in real-time - based on a unique valve design that automatically adjusts to road conditions, while the Ford MagneRide system uses magnetic particles in the shock absorber fluid to adjust damping rates in real-time
  2. Both systems are designed to improve handling performance. The Steeda Pro-Action shocks and struts are specifically engineered & have been tested time & time again to provide more precise control over vehicle motion, while the Ford MagneRide system helps to reduce body roll and improve cornering ability with their dampening technology.
  3. Steeda offers a range of Pro Action shocks and struts with different valving options, allowing drivers to fine-tune their suspension to their liking.
Overall, both Steeda's Pro Action Active Shocks & Struts and the Ford MagneRide system are advanced suspension systems that offer improved handling and ride quality for drivers who demand the best performance from their vehicles.

True or False - Similar refers to two or more things that share common characteristics, qualities, or features, to the extent that they can be compared or thought of as alike. This can apply to various aspects such as appearance, behavior, function, purpose, or any other relevant attributes that allow for comparison and identification of similarities

Best Regards,

TJ

What is the Steeda Pro Action shock reaction time to hitting a road bump and adjusting their shock parameters ?

They are designed to be very responsive, with adjustments made every millisecond -take a look at this video, showcasing the technology around the 3:30 mark:

The mag ride car seems to be a better deal. unfortunately the ford implementation is shit compared to what you find on the camaro/corvette.

Can you explain? How is it different? I'd hate to think anything bowtie is better at anything. :)

With the gt350r/mach1/gt500 Ford finally replaced the front dampers for better rebound control. But even their latest programming can't hold a candle to Camaro tuning, and forget comparing to gen2 implementations as seen in C8 and Caddy Blackwing. The difference is STARK! Ford chassis dynamics team is simply not very good. Or they have a VERY LOW expectations mired in decades outdated standards. Hell the Kia Stinger was superior in some respects.

If all you ever experience is Ford you have no idea what you're missing. It's not to say the Ford is just total crap. More rather that you're like wow, I didn't know it could do that, after hopping into a GM vehicle. It's very clear GM intends to beat the Germans at the dynamics game.

My experience with MR shocks is that they are prone to leakage, especially with hard usage. This is with cars other than Ford.

Some gt350 track guy did. Said it really buttoned the car down in track use. Go read the thread on it.
