Great advice especially about the door. How many-a-time I almost hit the garage door when raising the car. It goes forward quite a bit.I love my QJ. My car is on them now and I go up and down everyday for my winter mods.
BUT: Follow the directions verbatim. Servicing, going up and down to bleed the lines ETC.
FYI: Always make sure before you start using them that the VENT IS OPEN or you will suck the tank in and cause issues.
- Never get complacent while using them. Always Visually verify every time you are lowering that both side ARMs moving freely over the locks and car staying level.
- I also never ever raise or lower without laying on the floor by one side physically watching both sides going up or down, looking at the arms ETC.
- Lastly, if you are raising your car in your garage, keep the garage door open to ensure you don't hit the door. I think they move back about 12" from floor position to all the way up to second lock
**Because you don't want to end up on You Tube with your car laying on its side LOL
Good Luck
