Those who have a Garmin Catalyst & have more than one vehicle profile saved on it, have you ever recorded sessions, only to realize afterwards that you had the wrong vehicle selected? And you cannot edit the data to change the vehicle? There is no way to do this once a session is recorded and...
The Ridge RW video side by side lap comparison of Mach1 & GT500. I took the Shelby to The Ridge. Granted it was the 1st time taking the Shelby on the track, had PS4S tires, no track camber, a bit nervous, don't know the car's limits or mine with it and it was slower than my Mach1 approx by...
I just got these R8's to match my DS1.11's in the front. However, concerned that they are just blank backing plates without any notches to slide into groove of caliper piston as well as the notches to locate the heat shields that come with OEM pads. I don't want to put the heat shields on...
I got a set of G-Loc R8 pads for my rear brakes. I currently use DS1.11 for the front. I see that the G-Loc pads have no notches on them. No center notch to slide within the caliper piston groove and no notches to accept heat backing plates. I'm concerned that without having those backing plates...
Sorry Philip not sure I understand? If you want to change your color on the main tach (like mine to green) you don't need Forscan. You do this in your primary and secondary custom color settings. If you want to add the Performance Shift Indicator, then you need Forscan. This option was...
I paddle shift quite a bit. I usually do 2 sessions at Auto to get familiar and then switch to paddle shift, because then it gets more interesting. You need the lights to help stop you redlining. The main tach does not change colour as you creep up to redline. I just choose green as my colour...
Hi Philip. Thanks for the comments.
Your 2019 should be able but I had to use Forscan software. I have a detailed post under Performance Shift Indicator A10. Step by step on how to do this.
On that lap I didn't use the paddles. Thanks for the tip. I had the GoPro mounted on my roll bar and...
Good to be back on the track for the 1st time this year. This is my local track so not ideally suited for the Mustang. Best time last year was 1:20.5. Managed to get 1:16.9 this time. Nothing has changed on the Mach1 so not sure why I would shave off 3.6sec? Conditions were about the same except...
Hi Anthony. I'm not the expert on this but when I got my Raceseng nuts and it specified this, I looked into it and found some interesting articles. Here's one from smartbolts.com. I wouldn't know how to measure the torque reduction as it depends on the studs and lubricants. That's why I just dry...
If one puts any lube or anti-seize on the studs, there is information out there that you need to reduce the torque specified as it ain't 'dry'. Their are various articles about being 80% of specified 'dry' torque. I did purchase Raceseng nuts and it specified 'dry' at 150 & lubed at 135. Not 80%...
I washed with soap and water all over my engine and under the hood straight after. Luckily it sprayed mostly in the engine compartment and on the underhood. I also have ppf'd my front so I bet it helped. So far it looks okay. I think the red Alu cap is the answer.
