So i will start off by saying im definitely not a professional i just like working on my own things and to be able to learn.

I ordered a whipple supercharger for my 15 gt and in preparation of the additional power i wanted to make sure the engine would be solid. I bought boundary opg and housing, mmr cs, mmr guides, comp chains, boss tensioners.

This is the main guide i used
https://www.sn95forums.com/threads/how-to-time-a-gen-2-coyote.77997/

So after install iwas audibly missing so i swapped around the spark plugs and coils no difference it has low end hesitation otherwise maybe felt alittle down on power but normaish. On start up takes a couple seconds to fire does not start on first crank as before, and after it is running with the idle being rough it clears up and smooths out.

I was assuming the timing was wrong so currently it is torn back down and retimed but i couldnt find any signs of timing being off at all everything looked correct.

Current mods aside from engine
Kooks catless lth/ corsa catback
Jlt intake
Lund 93 jlt intake

Codes being thrown
P0016
P0155
P0300
P0301
P0302
P0316

Any advice would be appreciated as my local dealership couldnt even look at it until a couple weeks. Ive read sometimes pcm needs to be reprogrammed and intake mani can crack and can cause misfire codes but i have a lot of codes.

Try a crank relearn.. hopefully that'll fix it. If not, probably the timing is off.

So with the keyway at 12 you can see the R mark in position and after spinning to 5 you can see the L mark in position. Before reassembly can anyone tell me if this is correct ive spun it over a good couple times now and everything seems right but im unsure.

I'm no help at all, but I have to say, MAN those tensioner guides look sexy as hell. Too bad they are covered up.

I wouldn't trust aftermarket gear timing marks (other than ford). Verify they are correct.

Its just strange i didnt change anything when i took it apart this time but anyways i will keep the thread updated to maybe help someone else out.

Here’s some threads that contain factual OPG info, take time to read them, because not all OPGs are the same and yes there have been reported failures with some aftermarket OPG.

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/mmr-opgs.156369/

If you’re going to attemp OPG/timing yourself, or get a shop to do it, here’s important notes so check the below threads before jumping in without knowledge:

Here's some info from the forum with how to do crank relearn.

Check the pdf in this linked thread; any time there is major engine work or trans work performed on the S550 5.0, the Dealer Service Tech (or DIYer) is supposed to do a crank relearn procedure.

Also check this link if you have a n-gauge for crank relearn:

Crank relearn with SCTX4:

Crank relearn with HPTuners:

Here's info for how to do KAM reset too:

Also remember with a manual trans S550 when doing the crank procedure, the clutch pedal should be depressed.

I really appreciate all the info i was gonna wait a little bit longer to make sure but as of now after retiming (but not changing anything) its running normally with no misfires im assuming i was off somewhere but im not entirely sure unfortunately. Going to read over these and see what i couldve done wrong to know for my other if i decide to do it.
Th opg info is about what i expected though never seen many failures with stock ones but I figured while i was there may as well hopefully it stays good time will tell.
thanks again for all the great info!
