Fitted new OPG from Ford Performance this weekend. I got thrown by the fact they are not the same as the factory ones, and there's no instructions at all on the Ford Performance site. Figured I'd post some notes for anyone else that comes across this too, as it was a pretty stressful experience being mid-install on a weekend with no results coming up in searches.
One side of the gears has a chamfered edge (2nd pic below), where the other side is dead flat (1st pic). The factory set that came out of my 2017 had a chamfered edge on both sides. Having emailed Ford Performance Tech Line, the response I got was that the chamfered side of the gear goes into the pump housing. The square side to the back plate. Basically if you're fitting these yourself, you want the flat edge facing you when you close up the housing.
