A stock 2016 SS is very fast right off the lot, but that's all it has going for it. The problem is that it is too expensive for its market and it isn't an attractive car. An S550 GT on the other hand is fast, sold at a reasonable price point and is visually stunning. Even people overseas in entirely different cultures are going nuts over the new Mustang. And if you want to take care of that performance gap, a standard set of bolt-ons will eliminate the one advantage a stock SS has over a stock GT. The Coyote responds well to bolt-on mods like intakes/tunes/headers, and very well to heavy mods like forced induction. If you are really concerned about racing alpha platform Camaros, you can sink a little $$$ into some performance mods and close the gap, spending less than had you bought an SS. :thumbsup:

I remember that guy from my Camaro5 days. All he wanted to do was talk Ring times back then. He's one of those dudes, his car will never see any kind of track. So he quotes magazine times. Stock VS stock is the only thing that matters to the magazine racers. I'm not stock. Come get some!:DI'm willing to bet in his sig he has window tint and stripes for mods.
:lol::lol::lol::lol:
Had to check and see if you was correct. :lol:
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
LOL I wasn't far off. Blacked out bow-ties and hash marks.:thumbsup:
What a toolbag. This is hilarious. He probably carries all the print material around, too. He pulls this print material out at car shows, C&O events and says, "look, this is how fast my car can go" Me - have you tracked it yet? What were your times?......Him...fllips to page 79 to show the cars performance of the magazine test:ford:

Yes, I TOTALLY LEARNED MY LESSON. Traded her in and I can't be any happier with my GT.

I love my GT and can care less if Camaro's, Scatpacks can beat me. Who gives a crap, I don't live at the tracks.

I will keep my GT stock because to me, it's fast enough. I got nothing against you, I just like to keep it real that's all.
Here's what's real! This is a sales thread. Mustangs are a giant sales success. Camaros -not so much.

Thank you! This tread is to discuss May sales results, not which car offers better factory stock performance. There is a versus section for that.

This just in...

"Since the Camaro is being compared to supercars" (wut?) it should "get it's own badging and markings, no more bowtie!".

It matches the M4 in ONE TEST and suddenly it's being compared to supercars? They're starting to believe their own bullshit over there.

I guess since the 2011 S197 5.0 matched a M3 5 years ago...I guess it should be compared to supercars? Oh..no..wait...it's because it's a pony car, morons.

[QUOTE

The Camaro has always been a model plagued with quality issues. Every generation, no matter what platform it was built on, developed rattles and squeaks, had plastics that became brittle and paint that peeled/faded well in advance of it's rival models.[/QUOTE]

Seems that lots of GM products still have quality problems. From magazine long term test vehicles that are constantly in the shop to high priced Corvettes that have apparently unfixable rattles to ignition switches that get people killed GM always seems to have issues.
Don't get me wrong,Ford ain't perfect(SYNC anyone?) but IMO GM has very little to be proud of.

I've had Sync on 3 recent Ford purchases (2012 Focus SE, 2013 Boss 302 and 2016 GT350R) and I've experienced ZERO issues with the system. What are others finding?
