9 pages in and what happened to the OP !!!!!!!!
He was looking at an automatic so he could have been scared off by the A10 hate. If I didn’t know better I might believe some of that hyperbole myself.

I can agree with pretty much everything you said with the exception of the "posh" comment with the Supra :cwl:

The car is a little nicer on the inside but not so much as I would dub it with that. It is definitely a tighter more stable seat fit though for sure, although, I did not opt for the recaro's in mine so I'm sure that would've made a big difference.

Nothing really to complain about on the Mach except for the stupid rear decklid was NOT fitted properly and I read all the crap about how you pretty much won't ever get it right and I didn't feel the need to screw with it cause nobody else really noticed it but me. One of the stupid license plate bulb assemblies was loose but I just ignored that to as it wasn't something visible and I only would get reminded of it whenever I'd wash the car. Sound system in the mustang was better IMO as well but I did have the upgraded sound system in it. I definitely want exhaust for my next mod on the car cause it is way to quiet as you said.
Well, to a muscle car guy, they gotta little more Lexus with it. :cwl: But it was nice that they did that and it is a compliment. Personally, I’m not a big guy, but I keep in shape and I feel a little claustrophobic in the Supra. The seats are nice though for the way you feel in them.
I think today, to some degree, the line between what were called muscle cars and sports cars have been blurred along with expectations and I’m not sure price, although a major component, has everything to do with it.

Agreed. My 10R80 is pretty good, no issues since I got the low fluid from factory filled at about 1K miles. Having driven GM’s version of the 10R80, there is definitely a difference in the tuning and shift logic. But my 10R in my Mustang is buttery smooth, no complaints here.

When someone says muscle or I think muscle car I just think of everything domestic here. I don't feel like any of the foreign cars are muscle even if some of them had/have V8's in them. They're just "to nice" to be a muscle car and are more exotic and have a way higher price hike.

It's hard to say sports car with some stuff. The prices go all over the place. I forget people dub some of them tuners too so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well I didn’t mean to start an argument. The dealer still has the car. They have had it since February. I’m sure they have too much in it by now. I’m actually waiting to see what Fords fix is for the steering module issue. The salesman contacts me 2-3 times a week. I am being very picky. No matter what I get it will be an automatic. Hate to say it but I’m over the manual thing. Especially with the paddle shift now.

Well if nothing else at least you now know that if its behavior bugs you (driven 6 different mustang A10, new or used no different) there are solutions aside from old age, grief counseling, or a lobotomy. 😋

I saw the comments as fun and constructive, not sure I caught on to any arguing….. I may have asked you before but what part of Indiana are you located. I’m just north of Indy

Out by Crawfordsville. I know some comments are in good fun. But I do appreciate everyone that has commented and given their point of view. It did ease my concerns.

I’ve been looking at a 23 Mach1 at our local Ford dealer. I will be turning 64 soon and I am going to get a Mustang to enjoy during retirement. We have had Mustangs in the past. They were 09’s. My question after doing research on the Mach 1 is if this is too much car for a guy that probably will never even do a burnout let alone ever get it on a track? I’m thinking just a GT would be plenty. But this particular car is really in good shape.
Am I overthinking this? Any opinions are appreciated.
