Considering adding this as an additional antitheft device here in the USA.

hearing some stories of young thieves getting into manual cars only to discover they don't know how to drive it.

Where can I get it?

I’ve been looking at a 23 Mach1 at our local Ford dealer. I will be turning 64 soon and I am going to get a Mustang to enjoy during retirement. We have had Mustangs in the past. They were 09’s. My question after doing research on the Mach 1 is if this is too much car for a guy that probably will never even do a burnout let alone ever get it on a track? I’m thinking just a GT would be plenty. But this particular car is really in good shape.
Am I overthinking this? Any opinions are appreciated.
BUY IT AND GIVE IT TO ME...I'M 73YRS OLD.

Unfortunately, after experiencing my buddies and obviously prior to be swapping cars, as soon as I drove the Supra it most certainly felt like it had more power for sure. As far as handling goes, I can't imagine the Mach 1 had much better handling if at all but I didn't really have a true opportunity to drive the car in that manner as I hadn't gone to any autocross events nor did my track attack with my vehicle purchase :frown:

By no means did I hate my Mach 1. I'd wanted a mustang since before I could drive and I loved every minute I had the car. My original intent was to keep it essentially forever. Dark forces swayed me heavily after driving the other car. I certainly miss the car and most of all miss the amazing symphony of the coyote matched with the exhaust on that car with the x-pipe. I've still not heard a car that sounded better than that thing
I wouldn’t trade my M1, but in general Toyota does a good job assembling their vehicles and my neighbors Supra looks like a quality car. The mustang doesn’t shout quality quite as well.
its interior is still very much classic Mustang. Meaning not top notch materials in places.
The Supra is tighter,(inside and out) quieter and generally more “posh” inside.
If you loved Mustangs and muscle cars you’ll love the M1.
If you’re someone who prioritizes quality, or possibly what I believe to be (my opinion) a nice but more sterile experience. For me, the Supra would be an option if I couldn’t get a McLaren as I climb the automotive food chain ladder.
The way I look at it, the M1 saved me a fortune.

Get your head out of the gutter Joker
I figured he had peronis disease.

Or was 16 and so over eager he missed the first approach and had to back out and try again with a little more aim.

minds in the gutter is a small sin compared to ogling the beach bunnies strutting down the sidewalk. There's a reason rear-enders are the accident of choice in FL.

Might be late to the party cause I’m not reading all 9 pages but it’s not at all too much car. I got a GT as opposed to a Mach or Shelby since I thought it would be a better daily driver but now I’m looking to move into something better just 8 months later

I can agree with pretty much everything you said with the exception of the "posh" comment with the Supra :cwl:

The car is a little nicer on the inside but not so much as I would dub it with that. It is definitely a tighter more stable seat fit though for sure, although, I did not opt for the recaro's in mine so I'm sure that would've made a big difference.

Nothing really to complain about on the Mach except for the stupid rear decklid was NOT fitted properly and I read all the crap about how you pretty much won't ever get it right and I didn't feel the need to screw with it cause nobody else really noticed it but me. One of the stupid license plate bulb assemblies was loose but I just ignored that to as it wasn't something visible and I only would get reminded of it whenever I'd wash the car. Sound system in the mustang was better IMO as well but I did have the upgraded sound system in it. I definitely want exhaust for my next mod on the car cause it is way to quiet as you said.
