Agree, money very well spent.

After taking possession of the Mustang, installing jack rails.

Owning 2 floor jacks, 4 jack stands. One real floor jack Hein-Werner 3T. The other a light weight imitation, and a number of years using all.

Now having the GT, with no way to jack front then rear. I was unable to convince myself that raising one side at a time, placing the stands . Was very good idea.

Quick Jack was the next best option.
The least hassle and the most sensible salutation.

If I were to have a dislike about the Quick Jack. That's now solve for me. Is the time it takes to get the blocks aligned and centered in the trays, and ramps centered to the jack rails.

Picture shows blocks permanently located. Only requiring the lift ramps to be placed under the jack rails.

I made an H 1/2 X 1/2 square tube. The 1/2 tube on each side sandwichs the rubber block.

Interferes with the side of the tray, they fit tight.

Can be removed should the rubber block ever need replacing.

When cutting long side of the H . Want to fit those. Some of the welds on the Quick Jack are fat .

I have four of these:

and built four ramps out of pressure treated 2x4s. Just back the car up on the ramps. Then jack up a front corner with the top of one of the jackstands on the floorjack, repin the jackstand and slide the rear jackstand in place, and slowly release the floorjack. Repeat for the other side.

This method can be used with the pinch weld jacking points or with jacking rails.

Those are cool! I like the fact these go on top of the floor jack and lift the car. Those pins are holding the weight of the car? Or something else?

I like these low profile ramps I made years ago. They can handle anything from a sports car to a full size pick up. And they are super safe.

Only down side is they are heavy.

Do you count the stairs when you go up? :giggle:

I made a similar set of ramps, and yes I do count the steps.

It sure beats driving over the stop blocks.

Ramps to me are restrictive one example, rotating the tires.

Something done every oil change.

Just about any car lifting system has some downside or other . . .

StangTime-

The top cross piece sits on the two upright pieces, but the bottom pins do see the weight. The jack stands are sized for the weight, each jack stand is rated for 3-tons. I think they will handle a Mustang.

I bought these for working on my truck because of the height, but they are friggin great for the Mustang for that same reason. Super heavy duty, very confidence inspiring. BTW jacking rails are a must too. I use these near the front wheels and a standard 2 ton set near the back wheels and can get the car up in the air high enough to use a creeper with ease.

I have 2 pair of these stands jack stands and this jack jack. The jack is low enough to get under my lowered 16 and high reaches high enough for my expedition

Does the Quick Jack scar the floor? I've never seen one in person.
If you drag it across the floor, I’m sure it will leave marks.. as far as lifting the car, It hasn’t scarred my floor at all.. I installed small castors on the quickjacks to keep it about 1/4” off the floor. As soon as I start raising the jacks, the castors come up first and there is no weight on them. You do need room either in front or behind the car for lifting. The way the jacks work, the car will move forward of backwards depending on how you lift it. Hope this helps!

They have 2 small wheels at one end on the underside of the lift, hard plastic.
