I may still do what a few others have done and trim it/paint it or just remove it. Still need to remove the sound tube.

I went to the hardware store and got a tapered pipe plug to see if I liked the sound without it. I do and have left it in. I have not had a chance to remove the tube, but for now, it is fine with the plug.

It's all hearsay, but as I understand the statements, the sound is better, not quieter.
An annoying component is missing.
Just try it out, it's enough to put a dummy plug in there first, you don't have to remove the whole pipe.
Over here there are aluminum plugs available that you put in and then reconnect the hose.
The appendix stays in, but is tied off.

It's a small series part that someone had offered privately over here.
You can use anything, if necessary you can make something with a 3D printer.

There are two bolts that hold it in as well
You are probably correct. It was back in December of 21 when I took mine off & left it off. Been working on my jeep a lot lately & that one is just a pull up type.

I had mine off for a while but decided to paint it and put it back on. I was able to pick up a spare and spare set of coil covers (unpainted) in the event I want to go back to stock. As for now, they’re garage decorations.

Gotta give it to the 1st gen coyotes. They had such a nice engine bay. Although I am ok with the current one its just more busy. Best engine cover you can get is a SUPERCHARGER :like:

Just pulled up one corner at a time if I remember correctly.
Thanks for the prompt response. Any fasteners? If so, what type(s) and where located? I have a 2019 GT California Special 6 speed manual. If that makes a difference.

There are two screws towards the front. You will see two little caps by the wings. Pop those up with a flat head screwdriver and you’ll see the two bolts

Thanks for the replies. Here's a photo of the cover for those who haven't seen it, I'm sure it has changed over the years. Mine is a December 2021 build '21 model.

Yours looks identical to my 2020 and I left mine on. It probably keeps some dust from getting into the "innards" underneath it and does make it look neater (hides the hoses and other stuff underneath). The only issue is that I have a catch can for the PCV so to empty it out it's easier to remove the cover to get access (though my hands are small enough to unscrew the can and empty it). Looks like you have some dust/dirt on your intake duct, fuse/relay box cover, etc. I wipe my underhood area down often so it looks like it just came off the showroom floor. I'm a "cleanie" so kind of OCD about keeping things nice and neat. Yeah, I wipe down the cowl area as well as the radiator shroud areas surrounding the engine bay.
