The paintwork some do IS very nice, however, still a cover. The idea of covers is just a stick in my eye.

Wires and hoses are just a fact of life for today's HotRods.

So what to do, shit can the cover, get some tie-wraps, black paint, wire loom, and go to work detailing the rat's nest.

No bolt-ons here will work, this takes time imagination, and care. Some isolated covers work, brake & clutch reservoir for instance.

Hide that stupid windshield filler tube, paint the bolts on the strut tower, blackout the hose clamps that kind of stuff. Yeah, I know this is work and not a 5-minute job. Takes a few times under the hood, cause the more you do the more you see to do.

Patience, drive & motivation, hiding things in plain sight, my .02

I had maybe 100 miles on my 2020 GT when I did a sound tube delete. Took the engine cover off and never reinstalled it, I think it looks much better without it. Plus it is a pain to get off, have to remove the strut tower brace, and to get that off, have to disconnect the battery. I didn't notice any additional noise without it in place, and I sure it is minimal, but maybe less heat trapped under it, and less weight. Definitely would not be interested in an aftermarket version no matter what it looked like, I seldom have the hood open anyway.

1 1/2 years since this topic died and still no aftermarket...
Any of a dozen chicom plastic moulding companies are willing and able. Just send cad and minimum order of 5000.

Almost Shogun32, even offshore, I imagine tooling would be $100K (or more) to tool a cover the size of the Gen III. Onshore, that cover tool was easily in the millions. R.O.I. and will take a few years to pay for (production parts and parts department stock). No mold shop anywhere is going to give tooling away for free! Plus the cost of your minimum parts buy. No wonder that anyone does not want to invest in custom molded aftermarket parts.

What do you imagine an engine cover can look like or be anything but a cover? Sure, a number of folks want a different engine cover.

The big question, what would the design or theme be? If one has to have an engine cover.. Here is a novel idea, leave the hood closed. Engine cover or the hood closed, both cover the engine LMAO

Still pretty rats-nest-ish, with a tiny bit of decoration on top. Maybe I just have to get the stock cover painted or something.
Hi. I recommend using the available covers to hide various parts like the coolant expansion tank and master cylinder, etc. in addition, many here have dressed up the stock cover. I chose red accents.

I think we just need to make coolant expansion tanks great again.

When you have a Mach 1 the engine cover isn't an issue. :like:
heh. Not to mention there is no such thing as a visually interesting *Mustang* engine compartment since 1975. So why is anybody bothering to raise the hood in the first place?

Me. Only because after a hard romp, I like to let the car cool with the hood popped, sweaty freaking hot down here at times.
