Exactly!i avoid using these since they scratch the inner fenders when installed
Here’s a fix for the FP struts:I have the ford performance ones and am not impressed by them. The bottom mount twists no matter how much you tighten it.
I tried installing the Redlines.....they moved around despite my best efforts. I'll stick with the prop rod tooi avoid using these since they scratch the inner fenders when installed
Same here. I ended up returning them. BTW, I didn't have any issue with them on my 2015 Mustang.I tried installing the Redlines.....they moved around despite my best efforts. I'll stick with the prop rod too

Which "These" are you referring to?

all of them. The very nature of the install damages the paint on the inner fender and hood bracket. I know this isn’t a big deal for lots of folks, but it makes me cringe.noac said:

I put a set on my '16 Ford Interceptor Utility and they are great. But, they mount differently. A friend with a '23 Mach 1 has the turning issue on his struts too with the Redline kit.Same here. I ended up returning them. BTW, I didn't have any issue with them on my 2015 Mustang.
I've put two sets from Redline on a 2015, a set on a 2017, and a set on my 2023. Never an issue with any of those four sets. On my 2015 I was also running a heavier TruFiber fiberglass hood and the struts held without issue. At about 7 years old the original set on my 2015 got to where I would have to assist in raising the hood, but once fully raised they never let the hood fall.I had a set of struts saved on a list for under my Xmas tree. After reading this thread I think I'll just stick to the hood prop.
Installing a self-tapping screw through the strut bracket and fender might be enough to make the FP struts stable.be a great idea if I had the equipment to make lol
