hood struts?

Anyone have a link for these redlines?
I have Roush and have had them for 4ish years now, and one side of the hood, just recently started being an 1/8 of an inch gap on the passenger side at the front of the hood. Almost like something underneath is causing it to no close all the way….. but there is not anything causing it……

I figured it out. This was loose and made that fitting ride up, which caused the hood to not sit properly.
Well, at least I had an excuse to get a new hood strut!

I didn’t even hook that side back up. The bolt that holds the screw dropped inside of the fender well
The redline gets in on Saturday, so I’ll install that right away!

Thanks guys, I guess I did alright that these lasted 5 years.

On my 2019 my prop rod has lasted 7 years....

Actually, I installed Ford Performance struts when I replaced my OEM hood with a MP Concepts aluminum hood. But.....decided to remove them immediately. The hood metal was so thin that it could not withstand the forces generated by a gas strut in such a small area. I loved having the struts, giving me better engine compartment access, but I didn't want to have to replace my new hood prematurely because of attachment failure.
