Can you really tell a difference in the sound with the different settings?
Yes, big difference from normal to track. Also very quiet on quiet. Normal has a nice rumble for a stock setting, Sport growls just a touch louder and track is real loud. Open the throttle up and it opens up the exhaust no matter setting. You will only get track loudness when set on "track".

Big difference. Between Quiet and Track is night & day.

No drone. Your car is loud when you want it loud, and quiet when you want it quiet.

I can't recommend it enough.

I personally like the tone and volume of the AE. Having optional quiet mode to be a good neighbor at 6am is a plus.

Another vote for AE! :D

Mine did not come with it and I went to great lengths to add 'as stock' using Corsa's Cat-back system as it was cheaper than buying stock AE mufflers lol

I ordered my ā€˜20 with AE. Installed Borla Stinger S-Type catback a month after taking delivery. Sounds great in track mode. The quiet mode is a huge difference when active and the neighbors appreciate at 6am too.

if you want to mod the car yourself and do axlebacks, donā€™t get it. however, if youā€™re like me and arenā€™t looking to touch the exhaust, get the active, youā€™ll love it. i always run in track mode which is nice and loud, and having quiet start is nice when you donā€™t hate your neighbors lol

My new GT has the active exhaust. To make it a little louder I added the Roush H pipe to replace the suit case. Awesome exhaust.

I had the AE on my 21 gtpp and with the resonator delete it sounds really good. The different modes are nice as well, but it just ended up not being loud enough for me. Went with C&L muffler delete and now it sounds perfect.

AE with a resonator delete sounds about perfect to me. Many of the axle back setups are just to raspy. I even went H-pipe over X-pipe to tone down the rasp even more. I prefer a muscle car rumble. And having the quite mode option is helpful with where I live.

Wanted to ask a question. Currently looking to order a 2022 GT Mustang. My question is should I spend the money for the active exhaust, or take that money and do a axle back or cat back system? I want a good sound, not too loud. If I go with axle back or cat back what would be the best option?
Remember, active exhaust isn't only about the sound. The active part mean it changes with your driving. You get on it and it opens up more and back when you get off it. But it is nice to be able to select you sound level also.

I added it, prefer the ability to be quiet when I want (not that the none active wasn't). I've since gone to 3" all the way and corsa active. The difference in volume is even more significant.

Quiet mode is great if you start work early like I do.

How much louder is the quiet setting if you replace the resonator with an H-pipe? I live in a town house and my garage shares a wall with my neighbor so I'm already worried it's too loud at 5 AM even in quiet.
