Before mine arrived I said "first thing I'm doing is exhaust!" I grew up in a time where that was just standard practice. Dealership told me "just wait till you start it up for first time..."

I can honestly say I don't think I'm gonna upgrade. It sounds amazing 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Heard that is a nice upgrade. Which fluid did you go with? I hear BG Sycroshift is a good one, but I don’t want to void any warranty.
can speak about warranty but I used the BG in my 15’ on both the trans & diff with great results

It may just be that I am used to straight piped strokes SBFs and big blocks. My daily is a 351W and other toy is a 513 c.I.
I'm with you, stroked FE427 to 482 with 3.5" side pipes in my other ride. I don't hear too well
anymore!

Relieved to hear this, all my kids have been waiting for including me is the sound, was hoping they didn’t seriously downgrade it for 2022
Was worried about this too.
My 392 Wrangler was the high point of best sounding vehicles I've had.
The 392 sounded way better in that than any of the Challengers I've had.
Hoping the Mach1 will be the same or better.
Cars that have a soul and sound good are going extinct.

Gotta be honest with this one. I feel the sound of a 392 is tough for a coyote emulate. No replacement for displacement and there’s arguably about 100 CI difference. The 392 can also never sound as happy to rev as the coyote.

I rank both the 392 and Coyote above the Chevy's though.
392 is very deep, the Coyote a bit less but more unique.

The Chevy LS/LTs...eh, had neither.

Sad this whole discussion will be moot in a short time.

I had the 392 Durango and it sounded great but not loud enough. Now have Trackhawk with 2" Kooks long tubes and no resonator and its very loud, but sounds as fast as it is. Too old for it to be this loud

Hoping (when/if I get the ordered car) that the stock exhaust with long tubes will be just right for me.

Very true but it revs pretty eagerly. Not as willing as the gm 6.2 though. I drove a scat 6mt wb and the sales guy asked what are you doing? With the tach dancing between 2.5 and 5k while driving down some tight 2 lane. I said I'm driving it. He thought you were supposed to shift at 2000 rpm.

Just need somewhere for random comments/experiences/thoughts etc.

1) Glad I got a stick.
2) made it less than 40 miles before scraping front splitter on a parking lot exit.

3) Car barely made it 50 miles. Almost got totaled by a camaro I can only think fully intended to hit me. he was stopped at a red light, then slammed on the gas as I was making a left turn. My car is bright fucking red. no way it was missed.

I am used to 40 year old trucks, that is what I normally drive. this is a wholly different experience for sure. I have never driven anything so planted in turns. Turns I usually take at 35mph and this car is yawning at 55 begging for much much more.
You finally got your car! Congrats!

And yes, that super low splitter is exactly why I passed on the HP  (that and the Cup 2's trying to pull you into the ditch). Enjoy the car!

well I have a 21 but can t imagine it being a big change. you still have the upgraded exhaust from a regular Mustang to gt 350/500 stuff. and with the 5.0 which sounds awesome you can t miss!

My biggest disappointment, if there's such a thing, is the fact Ford has put Sync 3, instead of 4 and you don't get the Wireless Android Auto / Car Play. This cable connection is crap, especially if your phone is not brand new and the charging port is not as stable.

Another thing that's annoying is the fact that My mode is basically useless, as you already have dedicated mode for track, drag, normal, whatever. Bearing in mind you don't have control over suspension settings, the only thing you can change is the exhaust mode being different than the default for the selected mode...

I don't complain about the sound though... This is my first sports / muscle car and I love how it sounds from the lows to the highs. It's just gorgeous.

I would have liked a toggle for the exhaust mode rather than having to go in the menu.

I personally love how the car sounds in track mode. Have had many many compliments and approvals from dodge and chevy fans on car cruises etc. Not one person says it doesn't sound good. I will say that it sounds a little quiet in the cabin which I'm ok with since I know how it sounds outside the car. Roll the windows down if you're going by some trees or something to bounce the sound around so you can hear it yourself and maybe you'll rethink the disappointment?

I still have yet to get my x-pipe installed that I went with and may swap it out for something else if I'm not happy with the sound but as it is stock, I don't think I've heard better exhaust from the factory on any car.

I know this has been asked somewhere, but I cannot find it. Can you tell if the HP C/C plates have been installed from a visual inspection?
