@Rhyanski, while I guess I can (vaguely) relate to your experience as I was also living my childhood in the (back then) communist country (and was not a part of the privileged class), I can totally relate to your feelings about "maturing" for a Mustang, and in particular for Mach 1 đź‘Ť.

Happened to me once, I was stopping at a shopping mall by the highway to get some refreshment, and when I was returning to the car, I saw a small kid posing in front of her and having his dad taking pictures of him. There were like hundreds of cars around, some probably more fancy or more expensive, but the kid liked mine. Could not help myself and let him sit in just for the fun.

Some small boys must have some inner sense to recognize a true car and when they grow up, they cannot help it .
Good for you! I’m sure that kid will remember sitting in a Mach 1 forever. You just help create a future Mustang fan. 🙂

Car cruise today at a local winery. Decent turnout, maybe 75 cars. The Mach was a HUGE hit today, much more than past shows. One guy with 3 Mustangs bent my ear for about 20 minutes... a guy with a Heritage Edition GT500 on order... various other enthusiasts, even guys with 50's and 60's hot rods. Several people standing behind it discussing what "761 MPH" could mean on my plate. There was a 60's Chevy sedan and an early 70's pickup next to me that left a few minutes before we did. The driveway to the winery is long and downhill, and at the bottom I saw those two vehicles parked at the house across the street, there was a huge party going on. When I got to the bottom and was ready to make the turn, a bunch of them started yelling "light it up!". Oh no, don't make me do THAT!! (BTW with the new H-pipe it sounds spectacular when you gun it.) So I turned off traction control and chirped them in 1st, 2nd and 3rd and they were hooting and hollering. What a freakin' awesome day. I just want to go out and drive around, such a beautiful night.
