It's just a Mustang thing it has nothing to do with it being a 350
This... I get the same thing quite often.

If you guys think it's only other people with other cars you're sadly mistaken. I have encountered this same thing from a fellow mustang owner LOL. Young kid, asked some questions at a stop light. About 2 minutes before that he was tailing me off the exit and revving the shit out his car behind me. Really made me want to sell my car. LOL

HPP vert driving to mountains today with top down when rusting Cobalt with three scruffy dudes want to roll race haha. When they sped off with a huge turbo whine seemingly hitting 130 effortlessly I could only laugh hard at my close call with shame and embarrassment..since I had a hot blonde in passenger seat.

You ever think that they love seeing your car and are an enthusiast as well, maybe just don’t have the means to have as nice of a ride?

You are not above anyone else because of the car you drive. Maybe oblige them with a rev or a spirited take off, most of the time that’s all they want. A smile and a wave or a thumbs up go a long way.

I think most of us can tell the difference, and no, most aren't being cool about it. Being cool about is them rolling up and cracking a joke or a smile with windows rolled down, not me doing it first. I'm minding my own business.

lets not forget about the EcoBoost F150 owners with a tune and fartcan exhaust who probably couldn't even hang with a stock 6 speed car

Even a nice looking GT with good exhaust draws attention, good and bad. I get a lot of guys come over at gas stations and give a look-see. Around here there are a lot of Camaro and Vette owners my age, and we just appreciate our performance cars for what they are, personal enjoyment.

On the flip side there's the guys with 3 ton hemi pickups that have to make a show out of passing you and cutting close on the merge. Whatever, idiot:clap:🤣

No doubt the Shelby badge probably draws a little extra attention, but as others have said it seems to be a performance car thing in general. Kids in their Civics, G35’s, Kia’s, etc with picnic tables on the decklid, multiple tow hooks and the most obnoxious exhausts known to man.

I get it, we were all young and did what we could on a limited budget. So I try not to criticize too much. But a street race, nah. Not gonna do it, I have way more to lose than they do (and I don’t mean losing the actual race). Trucks are the absolute worst here, they think they drive the fastest thing ever on 4 wheels.

I did have a Civic tailing me a bit after running some errands yesterday. Was kind of annoying just riding my tail, but when I got to my turn lane he went past with a thumbs up out his window. Sometimes they just want a closer look/listen. High school aged kid, so I have hope there’s still youth out there interested in cars like ours.

Without fail, at least once a week, I will watch in my rearview mirror and see someone approaching from behind at a high rate of speed, just to catch up to me and ride my tail. Often it’ll be as I’m approaching the exit off the highway. I’ll just stay in the gas, take the turn without braking and watch them fail miserably trying to keep up with me. On a straight line, I will ignore anyone trying to entice me because frankly, the GT350 (stock) is not a straight line car.

For some reason they want to prove that they can beat a $50,000+ with a $1000 car. Now can it be done?sure but Not for $1000. If you take a $1000 car and drop $10,000 in it then sure no problem. But that would mean that they now have a real fast clapped out p.o.s. That is fast from 0-100 but 100-0 in forever and can’t even take a corner at speed limit and at the end of the day it’s still worth $1000.

But if you pull up next to a short bed single cab 4x4 that is lowered. Be prepared to get a good look at that tailgate.
There’s only one reason to lower that truck.
No shit! I'm thinking about getting one. Just to punish mopars and bowties, troll teslas

I was a bit taken aback when I got my Mach. Yes, tends to draw a lot of these dolts. Once or twice, I've just gotten the hell out of their way - who knows what stupid shit they want do.

I get a crazy amount of people each summer revving behind me. I only revved it back once because it was a 350 :D. As far a people trying to race me or bait me into full throttle? Everyone but I'm use to it now.
