You people crack me up, I agree with Robvas, it’s just a mustang thing. I think it’s the looks coupled with the Ford V8 sounds that attract these kids who are out cruising. They are driving what they can afford and have dressed them up the best they can. Don’t criticize them, you’re doing basically the same thing, showing off your ride. If you don’t like the attention, buy a Camry and stay in the right lane. If you’re fortunate enough to drive a special car, appreciate the attention! Don’t call them morons, you probably did the same once.

Not once in my life have I attempted to get someone to drag race on a city street. Highway or interstate pulls, of course. Congested urban area with a speed limit 45 or less? Never.

You ever think that they love seeing your car and are an enthusiast as well, maybe just don’t have the means to have as nice of a ride?

You are not above anyone else because of the car you drive. Maybe oblige them with a rev or a spirited take off, most of the time that’s all they want. A smile and a wave or a thumbs up go a long way.
Yes, most are just wanting to communicate. I pick up my son from high school in my car and kids are always asking for revs. I give the people what they want. A 4k rev from our cars is like a Honda or a Subaru redlining. A kid that my son used to play flag football with when they were 10 told me when i seen him 4 years later that my car is what made him want American muscle. You never know who you're inspiring lol

I just sold my 77 cherokee chief on fb. The kid called asked if the truck was such and suches. ( me). I said yes, he then said he used to go wheeling with me and his dad in it 30 years ago . Ends up being my friends kid that wants go wheeling with his kid.
Inspiring the next generation of off-roaders. I sold it cheap to him.

I always wave and tell them they have a really nice car. The looks on their faces
are priceless. Some are really cool and we talk for a minute. Its the tailgaters I hate.
I never race, have nothing to prove.

It always the lifted truck guys. Usually Ram owners. It's a small dick thing I guess. 🤷‍♂️
Same here exactly. I mean I have a truck, but I know what it is - a work horse and not a race horse.

Yea, I had a 2013 SVT Raptor in black so it's SVT badges were blended in and hard to see until up close or if you knew what to look for. It was always dodge/ram trucks wanting to race me. I had one pull up to me at night on my side and rev, I ignored him. Maybe he thought I didn't see or hear him so he fell behind me like he was going to come onto my other side. When he was behind my truck he must have read the right side of my tailgate which said SVT Raptor because after that he fell way back behind me and did not bother me after that.

I was literally messaging my buddy today about this.. almost every time I’m driving the GT350 someone wants to play…

I was cracking up as I was at light and just wanted to stretch the legs out a little so I wound it out a bit.

Next light, an older lady in a MachE is next to me, same one from the last the light, she looks over and gives me the nod.. guessing it’s the best she could do since there is nothing there to rev lol..

Light turns green and she hammers it..

So yea… everything from multicolored civics to old ladies driving electric cars.

Yes. I get a lot of those with the foreign cars(Honda, Subaru, Hyundai, etc) with those stupid exhausts that just make a lot of noise. They pull up next to me, rev their engines, wanting to race. I look at the oil smoke blowing out of the exhaust each time, and laugh. I wouldn't even waste my time matching my car with their piece of shit noise maker car. And then just drive away.

I don't have a 350, but even in my GT I get someone trying to race me on city streets at least every other week.

As a former GT owner, I can assure you that the GT350 draws more attention due to the dual stripes and the epic exhaust note that definitely makes itself present even while moderate driving.

The car attracts positive attention, which I'm sure was one of the designers' goals. But you can't pick whose attention that is, so sometimes you are going to get the competitive types.

I think with the GT350/R, enthusiasts know of the sound and others just hear you in loud mode, and most people just want to hear it rev out. I've obliged numerous times, you don't need to break the law to enjoy this thing at all.

Ha! Had I raced her, most assuredly granny would have taken me to gapplebees in her glorified power wheels vehicle.

These 350’s are not exactly low end torque monsters that rule the stoplight to stoplight game.
