Oh lol you’re talking about the guy who just tripled his asking price for damaged products.
The price is one thing... the "damage" is superficial and can be easily fixed.
the whole market is crazy right now, and I think sellers will will soon figure out we are past peak.

Yep, that’s the one I’m talking about lol
I know them and I have discussed the matter with them. You will never get an OEM wing direct from them unless it is blessed by Ford.

OEM contracts are such that they have very strict rules against selling or offering items that are designed for and sold by Ford.

So best bet would be to try to find something used or bite the bullet and buy new to the tune of about 14K.

There will eventually be an aftermarket option, but that is going very slow.

I don’t want to buy one, I’m just curious how much it costs Ford to buy them.

I like to disassemble things.

There's the Chinese manufacturer, the middle man in Detroit, and then Ford (or Ford Parts and Service for those looking to buy an OEM CFTP wing). Each has their markup/margin so the price gets bumped up along the way. It would also seem as though Ford has set the price well above their "normal" margin and the assumption is that was done to discourage purchase so as to ensure some level of exclusivity.

Bottom line, were the manufacturer in China be able to sell them direct, the price would likely be far more reasonable than what is currently being demanded.

My guess would be 1.5 to 2 grand.
The quality is nothing special, my first one had to go back for a replacement.

As a reference, a mfg who is having the exact replica wing made is selling for 3k.

So........ I'll stick to my guns and say in the 2k range.

Actually its less than 2K if you can believe that. I just had a similar convo with the guy that fixed my OEM wing that I got (Pics below), He explained the whole idea of how these are made, showed me how the forged/chopped are made into the shapes, very informative, even told me the two types of carbon mfg. The biggest part is the mold he said.

Wanted to express my sincere thanks to Exotic Car Gear, the took their time and really did a superb job in fixing the blemishes from the used wing I got, they went so far to even repaint the brackets. I think it came out really really good (better than I expected) and couldn't be happier. And they were fair in pricing all in $500, cant beat it. Great job Dave and the crew.

No its the wife's blanket over an ottoman in the backroom that gets the most Sun. And the carpet on the ground is just a high pile carpet, no shagging :D

No, that's shag. You need to sell that wing and get the wife some new carpet.

Tip:
Hardwood flooring is in these days.
