I'd be interested to find out the price. That is an exact replica so it seems. I have no idea if the Ford wing is patented, if so, there could be problems.

I had the same thought, Tom and I can't imagine that the design wasn't patented by someone. Much too lucrative a product not to legally protect it.

The I-5 autohouse wing is the no brainer (price wise), but the concern is that they depict the wing as a single piece. The end plates and wing appear to all be one. The last photo in the swatch shows the end plates as being separate, and that would never pass muster.

The ffperformance appears to be the same. I guess there is a price to pay for one piece. I don't have facebook, can you confirm that the $3500 wing is all one piece and an exact replica of the OEM?

That cost seems reasonable as long as it is an exact replica. It is still going to be a target for thieves because of what it is (even at a $3500 price tag).

All good, but unfortunately It doesn't look like one out of the factory, with those everyone knows its aftermarket where I and I am sure Tom is looking to be a purist without our pockets being gone at Ford's sticker shock

The GT4 wing is manufactured by Multimatic in Markham, Ontario. I do not know who designed it, specifically. The production CFTP car uses a very similar wing with shorter uprights, and is not manufactured by Multimatic.

I can find the patent for the "passive water management" of the production wing and it is Ford's. The wing shown in the link in the first post up above sure looks to be infringing on it.

I've looked through patents in the US and in Canada and cannot find a patent for the airfoil used on either the GT4 car or the CFTP GT500. Ford does state that...

I can find the Multimatic patent in Canada for the production GT airfoil (less the mechanicals used on the GT) but not the one on the race GT. The answer to who patented the GT4/CFTP airfoil may lie buried in whoever got the patent for the race GT wing.

Prices vary, someone here found it for $14,000 off ford.

Oh as just so you know Ford throws in free shipping when you order it, like at that point it matters anymore.

Regarding the airfoil patent, my guess would be that if Ford itself is the official "creator," than the design is protected. Far too many attorneys on the payroll not to give them something to do. :-)
