I have been looking around and I have found some pretty good deal on the 2018 GT but I’m worried about the reliability. Can I get some feed back

My feedback is limited based on owning a 2015 GT and Currently owning 2019 GT. The 2015 never had any issues, it only saw the dealer once for a free oil change. I regretted selling it after I sold it. My regret went away once I bought a 2019 GT PP2.

The 2019 no issues as of yet. Both were daily drivers with basic mods like exhaust, air intake and tires. I would say go for it if you get a real good price on a 2018. Just compare it to a new 2019 ( there are still some left). The 2019, 2020 and 2018 are basically same car.

I think the only main reliability issue is the shift forks of the 2018 that some people had break. The forks were revised for 2019 and most likely later built 2018s. This probably doesn't matter, though, if you're looking at an auto.

They all have a chance of the typewriter tick. 18 or 19 isn't going to change that.

Zrussian13 is right with the tick. More 18's have them, but 19s arent immune. Mine luckliy does not have it. Just had an oil change too.

How bout the type written tick issue
I’ve read of the tick but haven’t experienced it. In my opinion it’s been overhyped. It is there — no denying it.

The tick doesn’t effect reliability. It’s just annoying. You will still be able to daily drive and accumulate miles even on a used model.

My 17’ corvette had a slight tick but drove as smooth as she could. Direct fuel injection was the cause.

if you are like me I spend more time listening to the aftermarket exhaust or the nice sound system..lol..

in any case below is a nice read from a trusted aftermarket source:

In general, they are very reliable. You can beat the crap out of them and they keep coming back for more. Can you have a problem? Sure, but that can happen with any car. But day in and day out the GT is a reliable blast. Post up what you are looking at when you have a chance.

My 2018 GT Premium with 11K miles has been flawless to date. No ticks, no rattles, no squeaks, no leaks, nothing. Think of a Camry with 460 HP, but with a soul and personality. Runs like a freight train all the time.

I would buy it again, and again, and again . . . . . .

My 2019 has been pretty good ,although I only have 6k miles. I have no tick , no panel alignment issues and the manual trans shifts almost smooth as butter. I do have a slight 2k rattle but I don't think its anything to worry about , she begs to go....

I think paint quality is not the greatest... chips easily.
What color is yours? I always find it depends on the color.

Just answered my question .......... I am backing away from the idea of new Mach 1. I am now looking for a CPO ragtop to replace my departed Harley tri-glide.
