Interesting you should mention injector nozzle orientation. It reminds me that In the latest LegitStreetCars posting, it appears the spark plug must be pointed at the injector. If it's clocked too far from injector it can cause serious damage. Mercedes has service bulletins about this and it may...
A bad injector can cause bore scoring. A properly functioning direct injector will atomize fuel better than any other form of fuel delivery. You seem to have some interest in learning more about engines. If so, you should watch this:
We are extremely fortunate where we live as it is on the east side of a high ridge that leads down to Lake Michigan. Almost all of the severe weather comes from the west or southwest, so most major storms and tornados follow the ridge and go around us, or dump on the top of the ridge. Lake...
I think you could be heading down a long rabbit hole. I wanted my car to run 11s. I got my wish with better tires and my grandson driving (he weighs 100lbs less than me). I was tempted to go further with a new intake, down pipe and upgraded turbos. But, I told my boys they could do that when...

I recall many years ago when I owned a 54 Mercury coupe. This was when 49 - 51 Mercurys and 55 - 59 Chevys were considered among the most desirable cars to mod. A 54 Mercury was a major "dork mobile". I spent lots of time and money trying to make it look "cool". In the end, it was like putting...
BMW had the Gran Coupe for a number of years, which was just a fancy name for a plain 4 door. So, any name Mustang and Camaro get for 4 door variants couldn't be any worse.
I have found that mods gone bad will often cause the type of feelings you are experiencing. I would return it to stock condition and take your time getting reacquainted with your car before deciding to sell everything including the car. You liked it well enough in stock condition to spend a ton...
The links in the first post seemed to leave the possibility open that the new Camaro could be a coupe. The articles I read made it clear it will have 4 doors. Also it indicated that Mustang will have a competing model. Both of these would occur in 2029.
The last article I read indicated the Camaro will be a 4 door using the same platform as the current Cadillac CT4/CT5, which are getting a new platform.
I was referring to things like sodium-ion and solid state batteries and regenerative braking, not gimmicks and gadgets. My car has plenty of them and I don't know how to use most of them. Hell, I don't even use the radio.
