I have been trans tuning with the HP Tuners 10R80 software for nearly 2 years. This is obviously what ZXMustang is referring to.
Just be careful and fully understand what you are doing before you get in over your head.
And by all means do a "Read" and save your stock trans calibration so you...
I know the HP Tuners softwares normal tuning pathway for the 10R0 is aimed at modding normal and sport modes simutaneously.
I assume this would upgrade both sport modes, i.e. sport and sport plus. Does anyone know for certain?
I have reached out to HP Tuners with this question (I have an...
Wengerd tuned my 2018 GT with a Prochrager P1X.
2 years later I am still running his tune. Car still will break the tires loose at anything under 50 MPH with 305 Nitto 555R2's. Insane. Perfect driveability and I can't stress enough how important this is.
Outstanding results and...
12,000 miles on my 2018 GT with ProCharger P1X. The only issue I have had is about 7K miles the bolts on the tensioner backed off about 1/4 turn. Torqued them to spec no issues to date.
Supercharger belt (the one that come with the unit) looks like new. With a 4.63" pulley mine comes on...
I have the Thermal R&D axle back system on my 2018 and I LOVE IT.
Super throaty, absolutely no drone whatsover, relatively quiet at light throttle, but will raise the hair on the back of your neck when it's rippin' time. I have gotten dozens of comments on the sound.
Very high qualitly...
Trackmustang,
I was a trans builder for years. I can tell you from first hand experience, upping HP and leaving the trans calibration stock is a mistake.
Mis-match, plain and simple. You can't force 650 hp through a 400 hp calibration for very long.
10R's don't break, the internal suns...
10K miles boosted, stock OPG and CS. No drag strip or road courses but I have had a lot of rolls from 60 - 70 with a lot of different cars.
Plus having fun when the mood strikes.
No issues (other than a toasted A10).
Based on my personal expereince, if you don't do a hydraulic/pressure/shift strategy upgrade, the stock 10R has a very good chance of taking a dump if you like to stay in it quite a bit.
To up HP by about 60% at the crank and leave the trans stock is a mis-match.
My 10R lasted about 6K miles...
My ProCharger P1X Stage II came with a BOV filter/muffler as standard on my set up. Would not run without it. Very quiet. Can't tell it's boosted.
I don't know how anyone could stand a noisy BOV for everyday driving.
Like they say, if it's too loud then your probably to old!!
