Ford doesn't "produce" the OPG or many other components - Ford outsources contracts and certain Vendors bid to win the Contract to manufacture the parts to Ford's specs based on X-Y-Z. Usually "lowest bid wins" or if the Vendor is a historic partner to Ford they get selected via an internal process. Why is it always the OPG !??
Why can't Ford produce one that's a quality piece of equipment ? Even if you were born yesterday, you know that the thing is always a weak link in the chain. Why the hell is that.
If the part failure is the OPG (and if it's already billet) then:
A) Something could have gone wrong with the manufacturing process OR the materials being used; if that is the problem, then the Vendor should be looking into quality control aspects and inspections of completed part runs.
B) Incorrect tolerances, incorrect torque specifications or poor installation techniques used during engine build process.
