Just seeing if it’s worth it to flex fuel kit swap on it and do I have to upgrade the injectors or the ones for 2018 GT 350 good enough to run it. I’m only looking to get around 600 hp of it with everything else I’ve done.

I run the Proflex gizmo and love it to say the least so in the event you run e85 and get a tune for it that would absolutely be felt by the ol' butt dyno

It seems like the only upgrade that wakes these cars up, short of forced induction. 40-50+ whp, right?
I've decided to keep mine stock, but I'd be interested in hearing the experience of those who've done it.
The only other bolt-ons I've seen that are worthwhile is an intake manifold (requires other mods for fitment), throttle body and headers. I don't like the headers mod because it changes the sound, and I haven't heard an exhaust setup that's better than stock (something I've NEVER said before).

If you track the car and E85 is abundant in your area, then yes, it is 100% worth it. On top of adding a few ponies to your car, it does help with CHTs while revving to 7k+.

Your gas mileage will suffer. And that is being polite. I get about 12mpg mixed city/hwy with my Mach 1. YMMV (pun intended) with the 5.2.

Definitely not going to get 50hp

All that being said, Fathouse had the path to 600hp (flywheel not to the ground) until they quit offering it not long ago…

oh cmon man, I love your contrarian style…

…but why would you e85 without a good tune 🤔
I'm just saying it's not worth 50hp if you compare to a 93 tune. Adding e85 in that case will get you 25hp.

Which, is 50hp compared to a stock car. Just adding e85 fuel on top of your already modded car doesn't get you 50 though

Heck no 40-50rwhp lol idk where they got those numbers but I would say it peaks about 15rwhp over 93oct but it is more noticeable around the torque peak rpm... again its not a huge difference but its noticeable esp with 91oct or crappy fuels. If you were to do headers with cats with no resonators and stock muffs I cant see how you wont like that one but I agree the stock headers -no res-stock muffs aka GT350r system is tits :). If you want power just strap on some boost and call it a day. Boost and e85 and you are a happy camper

I find my 85 tune to be spectacular. Rates among the best money I’ve spent on mods. The way this thing drives on corn is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I equate it to this - have you ever noticed how amazing this car drives in cold weather (if you don’t want to drive your tires in 40° weather, you may not know, but spoiler alert - this engine loves cold weather) - running this thing on e85 in 100° is the power/drivabilty equivalent of being 40° outside. To me, it’s insane different. Full disclosure, I do have an e85R tune, no flex, noting below 75. I typically run e90 (tested). Don’t know if the difference is there or not, but, it’s what I got…

I was going to use the cool weather driving experience in our cars to e85 but I feel a e85 tune is a bit better but the Proflex gizmo is only a tic better than driving in 40 degree weather vs 90 degree

Did anyone ever post what the ECU advances timing to when using the kit?

Honestly, if you're chasing that 600hp mark, E85 is a no-brainer for the extra bump in power and better cooling, especially if you're pushing the engine hard. Just keep in mind that the "huge" gains people talk about are usually tied to the tune itself, not just the fuel, so don't expect a massive jump solely from adding ethanol if you're already tuned for 93. It’s definitely a game-changer for the feel of the car, but be ready for your gas mileage to take a serious hit—it's pretty brutal for a daily driver.
