I’m not sure I 100% follow what you mean. I was only pointing out that some of the arguments for the GT PP2 gave similar performance for less money, and while that may be true, the resale/residual value of the GTPP2 in theory would be far less than a GT350 based on previous SVT molders of any year. Whether or not it’s a culture thing or justification, I’m not sure about all that. So yes, you might be able to “buy” 80% of GT350 performance for 70% of the price, 3 years from now you might get 45% of your money back on a GTPP2, and 60% back on GT350.....if that makes sense with my made up percentages
I think that makes perfect sense.

Bottom line is - we buy the car that excites us the most. If we only considered the monetary to performance value, we’d all be in ecoboosts or GTs because, IMO - the GT has always been a hard car to beat, for the money.

You’d need to experience it to fully understand what he’s getting at.

Unlike most v8s - this car will throw you back in your seat if u wot at 6k - then when you upshift 2000rpm later it will break the back end loose and start the party again. That will occur from 1-2,2-3,3-4,4-5 —and it’ll be screaming like a wild banshee on red bull laced cocaine the whole time. You don’t get near that kind of top end with a GT. Check the dyno charts. By 7000rpm the 2017 GT is comparatively asleep torque wise. At 7000 rpm I’m still playing with gravity using my throttle.
True. A few weeks ago, I inadvertently hit the rev limiter on a 1-2 shift and nearly broke my finger. It was like having the brakes slammed on unexpectedly.

^^This. And that 8250 redline... no gt beats it, no matter how many mods you throw at it.
Honestly, if not for the GT350, I would be probably driving an M4 or an M2 right now.
I can't speak to that yet, as I only have 160 miles and haven't taken it over 6000 rpm, still exciting.:headbang:

What I also like about this car is its dual character. You can daily drive this all day long in normal mode, its all comfortable and quiet. Wont sound obnoxious at all and in fact its quiter than most other regular cars if you just shift around 2500 like normal people. But put it in sport and go wot, all hell breaks loose, and I mean that. Its like a completely different car. And whats more unique about it is the tone of the engine sound changes with respect to your pedal input as well as where you are in the rpm range. Corvette isnt like that for example (base or z06). Neither is the F80 or F10 M cars. They are all fast cars. They can all be daily driven but their engine doesnt have the character GT350's engine does. The only car I would consider that closely matches the character of this car (purely from an engine stand point not daily driveability) is the GT3. Its the only other car I would consider owning one day as another car. But the reality is this car is so good and I mean SO GOOD that its probably 90-95% of what GT3 is and paying $160,000 for another 5-10% is tough pill to swallow. And that statement says a lot about this car. All other cars are just fast cars with v8s.

I also take issue with you saying the coolers arent needed:)
18 GT $35,095
301A $2,000
Active Exhaust $895
Performance Pack L2 $6500
Destination $900
Total $45,390

The reason why this car has dual character is because under 3500RPM its more like you're driving an Ecoboost Mustang and then flips over to crazytown after that. Here is dyno chart of my 14 GT500 (red), 15 GT (green) and 16 GT350 (blue). They were all run on the same dyno. You'll see how the GT350 dips below the GT under 3500.

The digital dash is very nice. Of all the things, That is one thing I would not mind having on my 17.

Yeah, I'd probably want that as well. For the purpose of my example, I was trying to build a 18GT with equivalent features to a GT350.

Im out of the loop. But that is still smaller brakes right? Rotors are not two peice? Does that have the aluminum front end? The coolers? And its still down 70HP?

Hows the areo? Etc?

Another problem is when you are trying to sell your 45 (for me with options 50k) mustang there will be 35k ones and most people wont be able to tell the difference.
