Very cool. Definitely ordering the spacer. Did you get a standard or medium size accelerator pedal?
Medium Sir.

IMHO, there's ZERO reason to spend $60 or more on the spacer, when you can buy the plastic spacers at Lowe's for less than $4.
Totally agree. It was a dumb move on my part to buy the Garageline thing, but... job done. It's a nice piece of aluminum, though. :) :tsk:

I'm currently using the stock setup while I work on the driver mods :)

However, I will probably install some SRP pedals with the wider accel. pedal. The extra grip will be nice!
Gotcha. Very interesting. Thanks so much. I may just go ahead and consider the SRP pedals as well. The stock setup is so damn hard for me to do this in, lol.

I have the Garageline spacer. It helped, but it took me far too long to achieve any ability to heal-toe with this pedal box. I was determined to do it without the Steeda pedal (or similar) and did. But, I did get to drive a car with the Steeda pedal and I could heal toe by the first stop light without a conscious thought. So, I recommend it - just bloody damn annoying a sports car has a pedal box like this. Personally I'd rather have the gas pedal hinged on the floor like BMWs. But that's just me.
Gotcha. Very interesting. Thanks for the feedback man!

I heel/toed for nearly every stop in my S197 GT with fantastic results, but couldn't get things to work properly in my S550 GT/PP. The accelerator pedal was too far down, and the brake pedal didn't have enough travel to get close. I used the plastic 3/8" spacer method to bring the accelerator pedal up, which made things much better, but changing the stock PP brake pads to Power Stop Z23s gave me more brake pedal travel (with similar stopping power), and now I can H/T without a hitch.

IMHO, there's ZERO reason to spend $60 or more on the spacer, when you can buy the plastic spacers at Lowe's for less than $4.

Medium Sir.
Gotcha. Thank you! I'm going to order me a set in Medium just as a backup. During the mean time I'll continue to practice with the stock setup.

Not until I brake extremely hard (which would probably result in me skidding if I tried it on the road).
altjx, consider going to a safe place to practice some hard pulls and heavy braking. Your concerns of skidding might rapidly diminish:D

I personally have no issues with H/T in the 350 especially on track

I'm okay doing heel toe. The thing I have to do is to use the ball of my foot and not the tip of my foot on the brake pedal so I can pivot correctly. While it's called heel toe shifting, it's more of whatever it takes to get a throttle blip whether it's with your heel, side of your foot, a foot roll over while on the brakes or whatever. I have a friend who "heel toes" by using the edge of his foot on the brake and rolls over onto the gas with the other side of his foot without even pivoting on the brake pedal.

With the new pedal setup from SPR I also use the edge of my foot on the break and roll over onto the gas.

The one issue I have found is when I am hard on the brake, if I don't position my foot correctly i'll actually it both pedals at the same time.

Took a bit to adjust correctly to the wider gas pedal.

Same here. I actually find the GT350 easier to properly heel and toe than floor mounted accelerator pedal setup I had in my E46 before.
