I think most of the time I just look at linear G forces. Its neither throttle nor brake pressure, but its how those affect your acceleration that matters. You can be rougher with the throttle in higher gears.

If that curve is a straight slope from the start of brake release through to max acceleration, that tells me I probably had the right kind of spiral corner entry/exit.

But yeah ODBLink MX+ to Solostorm is how I log things.

At some point they changed whats available at the OBD port and you need to wire in a 2nd port to access the HS2 network to get all the good stuff. The standard OBD scan is pretty limited and I dont recall all the info available, but I just plugged in the tablet to open up and check what I was able to get last year.

Separate topic, got my wing mounts all made and mounted up today. Its nice and rigid, far stiffer than the mounts that I had on the Evo. Will have to do some tuft testing to get angles set for mustang work, but excited for it now.

Under the trunk corner is of course the tail lights, I check those and they're pretty stout. So Im going to make something to bridge that gap and limit travel.

looks amazing. I’d be super happy with how that turned out. Very nice!

i did some tuft testing on my dual element wing and was unable to see any airflow separation at any wing angle or speed I could hit in “mexico”. I sorta learned the tufts have to be short enough. Mine were a little long. Also learned that the dual element Zebulon wing is damn good.

First event was a rainy mess, took 4 clicks of compression out of the front and rear to try and get the car to get some bite, and it sort of worked. This year our region combined CAM into one PAX index class as we didn't have more than 3 or 4 consistent CAMC cars and only 1 or 2 random CAMS/T cars ever showing up. Luckily driving clean saved me from my buddy Juan and his Z06 as he had me on raw time and index time, but picked up a cone on his fastest run.

RE71RS 305/30-19. Even with the moisture they were still picking up heat per run. The issue we faced is that the start was a 90 degree turn and then another gate sending you back left and it was all on smooth blacktop. Its practically ice when its wet and even the awd cars were spinning tires on it.

On the older asphalt there was actually a shocking amount of grip.

Pretty sure I stumbled across a vid of the course on reddit (some guy in an RX8), def looked like a mess. I think I would've let the back end out immediately.

We have all our classes mixed up in various index groups, but all the faster guys run PPAX (pro-pax, or Pro-pro-autox :cwl:). Its a blood bath with PNW weather and all flavors of Street to Mod cars lumped together at the whims of a given years PAX.

Got a bit of the work done in prep for this season, though still a lot of stuff I need to get done before Solo Nats.

Got the test drive with the proto upright/knuckles and they felt great. Change in front roll couple and steering ratio is immediately noticeable even on the street. Will get some AutoX testing this weekend.

Basic setup now,
  • MCS 2wnr - 550/600 with SSB top mounts
  • BMR FSB, OEM Rear
  • Misc rear control arm and diff bushings
  • SSB Designs billet uprights (first prototypes)
  • ESS G2 Supercharger w/wendgerd tune
  • APR GT1000 wing with SSB mounts. (Wing is the CIro spec for my Evo, adapted to the mustang)
  • 18x11.5 wheels with 315 square tires. First set this year will be vitour X01r because B-stones are backordered.

nothing basic about that setup at all! Now all you got to do is drive it (and maybe make a splitter)
