GT500 engine + DcT in a GT350 doable?

If it ends up not being too expensive I'd like to put a ZF8 in my 17 GT

Cost is a huge factor. Is a built 10r comparable to a built 8hp? In my application I would not be in 7th under full power with the 10r. 900-1kwhp at 4200lbs.

Wires are now mostly done

Shifter integration is harder than i thought and i will probably ditch the BMW shifter for the can keyboard.

To integrate the Bmw shifter i would need to cut away either the center console plastic or the sheet metal but i wanna keep everything reversible.

For the shifter you could always buy a center console out of a parts car to cut up and modify. Then you can keep yours fully intact for reversibility.

Wiring underneath the car is also finished(probably). The OEM harness has 3 connectors.
Oil Temp, VSS(OSS) and Reverse. VSS and Reverse wasn't a problem. I just use one wire from each connector for the signal and route it to the TCU controller.

Oil Temp was more work. I now use an aftermarket sensor that is screwed into an AN adapter.
The new sensor uses a different scale so i put 4x 1/4W resistors in parallel to create one 1W resistor.

Interesting thing i discovered. With the manual trans the moment you select the 6 gear the exhaust valves close.

I thought switching to the zf8 this would give me issues with the active exhaust but so far everything works without issue.

Does anyone know what sensor should trigger that?

The Active Exhaust is entirely controlled by the ECU. Without the intervention of the instrument panel switch, it opens at a high level of commanded torque in every gear except sixth gear, where it's always closed. Presumably this allows better exhaust flow at high power output.

From the wiring diagrams for the TR3160 in my 2016 GT350, there is no sensor that tells the ECU which gear the transmission is in, so presumably the ECU figures out which gear the transmission is in by comparing the output shaft sensor RPM signal with the engine RPM.

Changed my brake master cylinder since i don't need the output for the clutch.
This one is from a crashed ecoboost in Spain.

Fun fact the brake master for the gt350 is the same as the one for the base gt and ecoboost. The pp uses a different one.

Next and last part of the swap is the removal of the pedal box to put some kind of mechanism (spring?) in place so the clutch goes back like it normally would.

I also need to service my brakes since i cooked them in Spa . Takes around a month from the states to europe.
