Yes, going to a square setup is also the reason why I changed out the fronts. I did not replace the brake caliper studs; I read some commentary here that it wasn't truly necessary. I did clean off the old loctite as best as I could on both the bolts and the caliper and brake surfaces, cleaned...
It took me probably 2-3 hours, including a run to the store for a tool or two. I work slow and was taking my time (and triple checking the instructions), so if you're more handy or faster than me, I'm sure you can get it done faster. I only changed the front studs.
Full disclosure, I don't have...
I had an issue with my own soler TB where after 2 replacements, the TB was still getting stuck and leaving me stranded on the road. If you want to see my posts about it, you can search my history. I eventually was traveling with tools and my old TB, which is how I was able to make it back home...
I'm not that mechanically inclined beyond more basic stuff, but the technician notes stated something along the lines of it only being an issue (the noise) when the clutch was activated. I don't know if that's helpful to you at all, but thought I'd mention it if it was.
Did any of you have A/C issues that had a more of a whine than a screeching sound that turned out to be your A/C Compressor? I noticed an audible whine when my A/C was on, mostly in first gear between 2-3k RPM that largely disappears if it is off. Trying to diagnose if it is the compressor or...
that switch looks great! I've thought about installing the Xeneering Auto Blip module myself for the same reasons, but wasn't sure how much of a pain it would be. How much work was it for you?
Bent the clamps out this weekend and took the car for a spin, clunking seems to be gone. I still ordered the IRS subframe bushings and IRS supports from Steeda, and will throw those on at a later date to just make sure everything is good going forward.
Ok great - I'll go for the low hanging fruit of fixing that tab first. I've already ordered the alignment dowels from Steeda, but if that fixes the issue, I'll wait until a future date to throw those on.
Thank you!
Will I need to completely drop the subframe to get it to align correctly along the lines of what @galaxy said above?
I'm not sure I follow which bolts you're referring to here, nor how I could do so with the tire on and loading the suspension with the car in the air? If you had an...
So some Steeda subframe alignment dowels are needed to help center the subframe, got it.
Would the solution be to lower the subframe again, utilize the alignment dowels, and try to re-install it being even from side to side? I do not think that the subframe was ever free-hanging; I loosened...
The brake line mounts did not fit the new FP sway bar as the stock one. I tightened it down, but did not remove it. Is it possible to maybe flip the bracket around? I thought this may be the source, but in checking it, they remain tight to the sway bar, and I didn't think it would be significant...
