Look Fatman, why don't you put up or shut up? Oh yeah, there is no 7.3 iron block truck engine to put into a Mustang. So let's keep talking about how you love iron block truck engines and how you are going to spend all your money on making a V6 Mustang into a F250. Talk about an attention whore.

Everybody look at me, I have the biggest needs on M6G...

It’s a car enthusiast forum. No different than the “what colour of car should I get” or “help me decide between these two wheels. A 500 cube S550 is awesome!

This is a Mustang forum, and dreaming about putting a non existent iron block truck 7.3 engine into a Mustang is different than color or wheels. It is not reality since it doesn't even exist.

Obviously you don't see that which is why you keep going on and on about this nonsense.

Why don't you wait for the 7.3 iron block truck engine, do the swap and get back to us with the results? I am guessing you have no real intention of doing the swap and you are really just an attention whore.

You are seriously deranged if you think your post is even remotely similar to the links you posted.

You are talking out of your ass and think you are making sense.

No one spied an iron block 7.3 Mustang conversion, no one is talking about swapping a truck engine into a Mustang, especially one that doesn't exist.

Well production is gearing up for the non-existent engine:

Here is a May 2019 article with pictures and one of the heads of engineering at Ford talking about that fantasy engine that does not exist:

Oh, and don’t tell me there aren’t any prototypes or test mules already on the road for months now. Probably even is a Frankenstein 7.3 Mustang at Ford somewhere too...

Anyway I need a break from this. You guys can keep playing in this sandbox - up to you...

There are no Mustang prototypes out there with a 7.3L. There are Mustang prototypes with 4cyl engine based hybrid systems, which will one day replace the V8. Sorry, that is the future. My company is key in helping them develop this. The comments here are completely ignorant to just about every aspect of the auto industry.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the man with the biggest balls at Mustang6g.com:

You are probably the smartest too, my hat’s off to you. Hummm... Use hatred of Fatguys 7.3 swap and slip in the 4 cylinder only Mustang future and people will give that post likes (like BmacIL for example).

Normally you would need a police escort after making a statement like that around here, but - man - pure genius!

Sounds so . . . so sterile. No sixxer, no V8 . . . basically a Mustang missing a lot of its "Mustang-ness". Then again, we already know that Ford is getting out of the non-SUV/non-CUV/non-truck business, and that might be what it takes to complete that effort.

Production is ramping up for the 7.3 because Ford sells thousands and thousands of Fleet trucks which is where this engine is designed to excel.

Also you keep stating how you want the engine for the feel of a big block. I have been thinking about that, and even with or without the A10 I have a feeling this engine will "feel" just like a modern OHV V-8

You just can't meet future CAFE and EPA regulations with something like the Coyote (even harder with a 7.3L). There could be a 6cyl in the works, but I think a 4cyl ecoboost with 48V hybrid system will be more likely. Personally, I am fine with it, as long as the performance is there. I worry about potential weight gain.

My personal feelings have nothing to do with the course of technology or the progression of combustion engines. I work for one of the largest automotive companies in the world. Almost 2 years ago, we merged all combustion engine divisions into one entity, as combustion engines are looking like they will become less of our business in the near future. We are making massive investments into EV and hybrid development. You should be happy. A mustang with an ecoboost and 48V hybrid assist would be a torque monster. It would be instant torque as well.

Forget combustion & magnetic fields... We need a NiTiNOL engine in the Mustang.

Don't feed the troll guys. It's on repeat.

Logical statements, facts are rebutted with nonsense and emotion. No counterargument with substance. Please let it die...
