Changing out my current springs (Eibach) to steeda duel rate competition springs that they just released yesterday.
Let us know what you think of the Steeda springs as well as post some picts of the car after they are installed.

It is indeed a PIA without a couple of dedicated tools that make the job much easier. Ford could have made a couple of minor tweaks that would have made things a lot easier/quicker. I struggle finding a legitimate reason why they didn't and instead chose to complicate the process.
I'm sure you are right - that you could have done better, but from my experience many tasks seem easier when you aren't the one doing it. I'm not trying to criticize you - rather I'm trying to stand up for the design team. I don't think it's always the easiest job balancing their requirements, schedule, etc.

I found the parking brake cables difficult to disassemble the first time but easier subsequent times.

Myself. I have done it many times with excellent results.

Vht high temp primer
Vht yellow caliper paint

Important step is to bake them for 1hr at 200F in order for it to cure . After that it becomes rock hard and no need for clear coat at all.

I did my 2015 gt same way and after 3 years it looks like day one .
Lol your wife is patient.

I can just imagine that conversation

Her: What are you baking babe?

Me: Haha, don't you mean what am I braking?

Her: what?

*begins to sweat*

I tried that with my headlights and they almost ended up in the trash.

Now I put the calipers in a cardboard box and put a hole on the side of the box and insert my heat gun to cure the calipers.

Also little off topic, got some 10w 3.3ohm resistors to fool the magnaride and it works. I switched the modes and all modes work without throwing a warning. This is for later on if I decided to go with the kw coilovers.

I like to disassemble things.
Where did you find the male plug connector that goes into the harness? And love the caliper studs!:)

That is the actual harness from the strut. I will have to look at numbers on the harness and see if I can find it online.

Caliper studs are awesome. 100x easier to take out the calipers.

But first...what is it? I don't remember unplugging anything when I had my calipers off.
You don't have to unplug the strut harness to remove the calipers. I am just doing a little test with the resistors to fool the system if I want to later on change out the struts with coilover setup.

So you popped the lead wires out of the connector, yes? I didn't think you'd cut them just for the connector to run a test.

No. I just unplugged the harness and insert the resistor ends into the harness.

Did the rear calipers and came out excellent .
Also go some 12.9 bolts to replace the factory rear caliper bolts.
