New 2018 Coyote 5.0 Engine...

A 20 HP bump is not going to get Mustang fans onboard - esp. if many of them don't like the exterior changes. Not to mention Ford will most probably bump the prices up as well. So why wouldn't I just buy a 2017 off the lot at a discounted price and then add a supercharger (with warranty) if I am going to spend that kind of money?

The 2014 S197 GT had 420hp
The 2015 S550 GT had 435hp

A mere 15hp gain.......and there was even more uproar about the change in looks between the two generations ;)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ford will want to leave something on the table for the Coyote in S650, so I'm betting a nice safe 460hp for now, and maybe up to 485hp for the '21MY GT.

Or.....and here's where TT wishes upon a star.......they give the '18MY GT 475hp and then launch a Mach 1 in '19 with a 5.2 CPC V8 at 500hp......and then that becomes the stock GT motor for '21MY :ford:

Front Fascia looks like this - with larger inlet bottom - honeycomb and they give me 475-490 HP. Those are my demands Ford ! :ford: ;)

Just my take on it. Does not make sense to get just 455 HP out of GT350 intake, Throttle body, higher compression, direct injection.

I still think the numbers are coincidence. I thought they were just trying to show the cool blue effect behind the needles, so it needed to be a non-idle rpm/speed.

Also, the redline is probably different on the second image since it could be the ecoboost in that image, but GT in first. Current ecoboost has an approx. 6500 redline.

I agree it is all over the instrument cluster.

if you look at the oil guage

L= load H= Horse power

then you get on the L side 100+300= 400

H side you have 140+340= 480

so safe to say 480hp and possibly 400tq?

@ 755 HP I would sign up in a heart beat !

Give me 480-500 HP and I still would be happy.
