I was wondering how much hp/tq does the 5.0 in the new 2015 mustang make with regular fuel. I know the 435hp/400tq is because of premium fuel being used. and also is it safe to mix, like using premium for everyday driving and regular for long road trips?

It's safe to mix but why would you sacrifice your efficiency on a long road trip using 87? I would personally continue using premium and if I was really pinching, alternate a few fillups but I am planning on constantly using premium

Blow of cost is not much since premium is required in my Audi and the tank sizes are all the same... I put premium in my truck yesterday and it was only 50 for 20 gal

Thanks for the reply, my car is premium required so was just wondering if I could save a bit getting regular since this is my first V8 after having 2 inline six BMWs.

According to Car and Driver, the GT loses 1% of peak power on 87 octane.
