V1 since 1998. Upgraded once (something lost on the Escort folks...) With the V1, if the technology changes significantly, you can send it back to Valentine and they'll "upgrade it" (aka send you an updated model) and send it back with all new googies (cords, mounts, etc.)

I can't use it in VA without risk of an entirely separate ticket but traffic sucks so bad here anyway it's hard to go fast enough long enough for a ticket. I use it for out of state road trips. It's mostly for situational awareness, not a license to speed 30 over. I'm normally 5-10 over.

9500 - can't be touched for gps features and when used in advanced mode for frequency lockouts.

+1 Escort 9500, love it...I installed the remote mute button last week.

Now I need to go back and add this in my Raptor and GT500. Works great to shut it up while driving.

I put mine on the dash and used a small piece of black vinyl (tape will work) to cover the annoying green power light:

That's another great location...I want to add a Raptor Shift light there when they release them for the 2015's...I frigging keep red-lining this car. The gears are to short compared to my GT500...

Mine is forever making false alarms. Not happy with it.
That's what's great about the 9500 having gps and freq lockout - no false alarms along your normal routes.

Waze! With more and more users it is more and more accurate. Saved me ~4 times on my way through Virginia when I bought my car.

Waze is great so long as they are stationary...

Yeah that's true. I had more tickets when I had a detector, but got rid of it 8ish years ago and no speeding tickets since. I usually keep it at 10 mph over or less in the day and about 6-7 over at night and I haven't had a problem. I'm pretty good a spotting them though, I get "how in the world did you see him there? You saved me a ticket" a lot!
