Do any of you have any tips or tricks for weight reduction?

I am not looking to turn this into a race car, but she could stand to lose a few pounds. I want it to MOSTLY be a normal looking car on the inside.

Currently planning on removing:
-Back seats (partly for weight and to have a little more room for my bike šŸ˜… )
-Rear speakers (honestly, I never listen to anything on the radio, I'm a windows down all the time guy)
-Trunk lid carpet/sound dampening

-Eventually I will get a lighter driveshaft of some sort.

Any other ideas?

Back seats - free and not too much work
Speakers - the little weight is not worth the trouble
Carpet/mats - also not worth it
Driveshaft - in pounds per $ it is not a good deal.

As posted, wheels and tires may be the best starting place. If you have the iron diff it may be worth it to find an aluminum one. A lighter battery (and moved to the back) may be worthwhile.

Resonator delete could safe a few pounds.

Stock rims weigh a lot especially the PP1's. But this is unsprung weight.
Yeah, they are heavy! Like 32(and change) heavy.

I use them for Winters now and roll with my wider Steeda Tridents.

Depends on your budget. You can lose a lot of weight quick with carbon fiber body panels, wheels, carbon ceramicsā€¦

battery, exhaust swap, non oem front seats, rear seatbelts, seats, speakers, etc.

Iā€™ve got almost 500lbs Iā€™ve identified in mine that could be eliminated while keeping the stock look for the most part. But it would cost another car to do it.

But it is rotating mass and that in itself multiplies the gains. Reducing rotating mass is multiplied by 3 or something, while you may see only a loss of 10lbs on a static scale but its advantage is similar to removing 30lbs. because you have to get it moving first before anything else so it reacts faster either accelerating, stopping, or turning.

Just weighed my '17 GT Premium A/T with 1/2 tank of gas after putting it on a diet.

Iā€™m down to 3688 with a half tank. Weight reduction mods are Corbeau FX1 pro seats, Cm components rear seat delete, Billet Specialties Drag Pack, Bear front brakes, and exhaust is dumped after corsa double x. Since weighing it I have also removed the front sway bar and have my Steeda drag k member ready to install. The TT system seemed to have made the car a bit front heavy so Iā€™m hoping the k member evens the car out a bit. 301A pp1 car

My weight reducers: rear seat delete, tire repair kit & wheel well cover removed, head rests & floor mats removed, JMS drag pack w/drag radials & 4.5 inch skinnies, Baer brakes & rotors all around, front sway bar, windshield wipers & wiper fluid removed, exhaust system removed. Factory coil-overs removed & added Viking coil-overs, Cuthroat cut-outs behind cats, Ford Power Pack3. Thinkin' that's it, possibly could have forgotten something though.
12 June is our first race date so curious as to what it'll do!

I've removed some weight from the front of my Mustang. Bumper being the most heavy. But I still weigh in at 3865! My required (NMRA) weight is 3600 pounds, so I need to drop 265 lbs, which is equal to 12 to 13 horsepower for my setup.
